Alot of people brush this topic aside but they shouldn't. They say it was the Aboriginals fault with liquor, but that's not the truth. They were not treated with enough dignity, respect, honor, and compassion. The English should've traded their weapons to them so they could protect themselves. Rather the attempt was to annihilate, and destroy them. Hardly empathy. This is Canada's history, the history of this government. Therefore the Indigenous in these lands North America, are owed by the government. Better learning of their own history, and of all subjects. Restore the reserves brand new. The Aboriginals have their own teachers in all or most of the matters of education, if they need more then make it happen. It all must be done the Aboriginal way, not the non-aboriginal way. There is some alright material in here, but should be more in my opinion. They got bathrooms on multiple floors. They got plenty for kids. They are definately kid-friendly. There is a big huge screen for learning, for the kids. The kids have much to do that I could not get photographs of. They got a game room, with a dozen, a dozen and a half game computer consoles for people to play, and entertain themselves!! FUN FUN FUN!!!!! They got a thing you can lock your phone up in to charge it. They got elevators, and a underground passage leading to the train ETS, through the basement. They got a half decent DVD collection with a handful of good ones. Should be BETTER!!!! My interests are reasonably broad. I think a better book collection would be nice. They are located right at city center, by the train, so lots of people can get here fairly easily. Plus there is underground parking, don't know price.
I'm so thankful that we got lost and ended up on such a beautiful library. Take your kids as there are limitless activities to do and the stuff is fantastic!
Great library! Lots of things for the kids! Parking is free and they have super clean washrooms
While I think the outside looks like the Command Deck of a Star Destroyer... The interior is absolutely stunning! The Library has had so much upgrades/updates with modern technology, I am excited to re-experience my childhood library! Both my sons love the time they spent there which I am absolutely thrilled about! Till our next visit!!!
I love your library. You people are doing fantastic work. Please keep it up. But I noticed one thing that Stanley Milner library in Churchhill square frontage is always dirty. I am an environmental health officer. I very much like clean environment. Please put an eye on that. Thank you so much. Remain bless by Jehovah God.
Attended a cooking class for Creamy Sweet Potato and Cauliflower Soup with Stanley Public Library. Event was hosted by chef Angel Luna Olivares from Azucar Taco House and cordinated from "THE KITCHEN" 's Zofia Trebaczkiewicz. This was a cheap thus obvious go to date night option for $12.00 per person, being my second class I decided to drag along my boyfriend there wasn't much dragging needed as food was involved. I previously joined classes with THE KITCHEN's Cranberry Orange and Lemon Scones absolutely mouthwatering. Overall once again, a lovely and educational experience. We were taken through the step by step process of making the dish, alongside educated on why we were taking time with certain steps and the necessary points of layering when plating. We had the pleasure of being seated up front and had lovely interactions with both Angel and coordinator Zofia, both filled with obvious years of expereince. Following the end of our night we were graced with chef Angel plating our dish to use as the demonstration. Food is made with love and you can see this with every step Chef Angel takes. Highly recommend signing up for a class with THE KITCHEN. Most memorable part of the dish for myself was the addition of Peperoncini, love spice and this was definitely an added kick.

Well done! We focused on the kids section and was real new and clean. Books are brand new and very well organized. Lots of variety of books that we just spent hours and hours to go through. We LOVE the toilet! There's a tiny toilet and sink for the little ones too. Parking is a pain though downtown. Underground parking is like $5 per hour. Parking tickets are flying if you don't pay attention. So definitely would suggest dropoff.
Very beautiful library. Every detail is really well thought out. The children's area is so beautiful and a nice place to occupy kids for a solid 3 hours at least. Tip- Download the app and also borrow books straight from there.
First time there I was blown away by how large, stocked and user-friendly it was! The customer service was AMAZING, thank you Cherry! She was so helpful, kind and genuinely excited to tell me all the wonderful things the library had to offer. 10/10 experience!
