Congress Coffee Company

I missed my Red Arrow bus and was told by the staff there was a coffee place nearby I could hang out while I waited for the next one. I just moved to Calgary and don't live in the area, so coming across this cafe was a fortunate coincidence. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Yulia, who is such a personality and has amazing positive, friendly energy. I ordered a sandwich and a cappuccino. The coffee was STRONG, and even though I forgot to add sugar, the taste was delicious and I didn't even bother to ask to add any. The sandwich was toasted perfectly and had fresh mozzarella which was my favourite part of the whole thing. Yulia never let me feel like I was unwelcome to stay for the long duration and even had a lengthy chat with me about some other places I'd be interested in visiting in the future. They gave me the cutest postal card with several options for me to check out and I highly appreciate the effort they put into accommodating me. Yulia gives this space the right vibes and I will definitely be coming back to check out their open mic!

Stopped in at Congress Coffee Co. on a random Saturday morning for an Americano. Was in the general area waiting to do some business with an hour to kill beforehand. It was a bit of a drive off the beaten path to find the location and I found it interesting that they also had live music in the evenings. I liked the decor in this store and would definitely like to return at some point to sample some food items and perhaps experience some of the entertainment available. Although my one-time visit was brief with a simple coffee purchase, I liked the ‘vibe’ here.nnBottom Line: 8.5 out of 10

Congress Coffee Shop in Calgary is a standout spot for exceptional, in-house roasted coffee, a vibrant community vibe, and affordable pricing that makes it accessible to all with its strong coffee, good company and great music,I'd return in a heartbeat for the vibes alone

It’s in an unexpected location,the coffee was really good. Seating is limited, yet it’s still worth a visit. I went early, so I didn’t get to see any of the stage activities, but it’s definitely a nice hidden spot in the area.

What a cool spot to have coffee, it has the coolest deco and photos. Yulia is such an amazing server, very nice and down to earth. Thank you so much for such an amazing time!
