Established in 1991 - Birkshire Automobiles offers thoughtful care and exemplary service for your British car. With six service bays we perform everything from routine maintenance to entire car restoration projects.
We are proud to say we have probably sold about 5% of all the British cars in Ontario since 1991 and easily serviced close to 10%. Our team takes immense pride in the fact the we can service Bentley, Rolls Royce, MGB, Aston Martin, TVR, Jaguar, Land Rover, Triumph, Lotus, Range Rover. Exceptional service, fixed my S-Type up. Had a cold starting problem. Ended up being the intake manifold gaskets. One trip and the car was fixed, they also notified me that my bearings had play, they were brand new done at another shop. Fair prices honest mechanics, what else would one want from their local mechanic. If you have a jaguar, use Birkshire automobiles. Even if you have a domestic and have had some bad experiences with mechanics in the Markham/Richmond Hill area try them out. I will no longer bring any of my vehicles to another shop.

Under new management.
$120 per hour. 
Due to rise to $160 per hour - I was told.
Cheaper than the Jaguar dealership, apparently.
1 mechanic on duty

$25 per day for (old beater) curtesy car. 
No Snow tyres / pulls to the right under braking 
Gas tank less than half full.
 Service manager shakes your hand, but doesn't look you in the eyes. 

Job:
Replace radiator hose located under air filter. 
All plastic components. Easily accessible.
Tools required: Philips head screw driver / pair of pliers

Pressure test cooling reservoir $120. Charged out as an extra.
Cost of hose $160. 
Labour cost $456. 
Engine anti freeze $40
Environmental fee $11 + HST.  This fee is fraud. (Oil \ tires only in Ontario)

HST $102.31

Total $ 889.31

As for the free detail? 
I had to wait while he fussed with an oily rag.
Smeared/oily windows is not an improvement.
All at the end of the day, putting me into heavy peak hour traffic.

Very poor service, fraudulent, overly expensive and excessive.

Outstanding Service and repair for my vintage Jaguar XJ6 - they did the most outstanding "sympathetic" restoration - simply floored by the outcome! Big thanks to Sam & Jas...and Dan!
