Since 2004, Ahora Mexican Restaurant has brought a new concept of food and a Salsa bar to Ottawa and the Capital Region.
Fresh, healthy, tasty and affordable meals are the core of our place: burritos, quesadillas, tostadas and much more are popular among locals.

So I read a lot of posts about this place that are positive and being a fan of Mexican I gave it a go. It is in a basement so is what it is. Lively traditional music, colourful decor. I was treated at the door and sat right away. I picked a platter and guacamole and chips. I also ordered a Jaritos. Wasn’t too expensive definitely moderately priced and there are cheaper options but I wanted to try a lot. The salsa bar was unique and a great idea. The food cane out fast and fresh. It was very good and traditional. I noticed a lot of Spanish and or Mexicans eating here so I’m guessing it’s a good place. I can see why some of the reviews for service are poor as this place can get super busy but that just means it’s good! Seating wasn’t crammed but again it wasn’t busy when I went 4-5 tables. Overall great portions, great food, great service. I’ll be back for sure.

Great place, they were crushed when we arrived but able to sit the four of us in under 10mins. Cleaver ordering where you order and pay at the cash and they serve, condiments are self serve. Food came out quick and was plentiful and flavourful. Good value all around.

This is simple, nice-tasting Mexican food. Moderate sized portions that satisfy, but not over-fill, and makes for an ideal lunch meal. Party ordered 4 different items and all were pleased with the food. Also the pricing for lunch is ideal: 4 adults with non-alcoholic drinks 50-60$!

Someone brought me here one day and I was very pleasantly surprised. Quality delicious food and decent prices. Easy to walk by and not notice this place. Drop in and try it if you want something that feels authentic.

Excellent and we'll priced authentic Mexican food. Hard working staff. Open salsa and toppings bar is the best. Will definitely be a returning customer.
