Beautiful camp ground. The beach is amazing nice sand but lots and lots of zebra mussels around so watch your feet! The bugs were not nearly as bad as i thought they were gonna be, bug spray on your feet will do the trick but didn’t seem to be as bad compared to at home! Washrooms are clean, and there is a couple out houses around as well! Yes there is LOTS of chipmunks running around but they are super friendly and a fun addition to the camp ground. Canoeing around the area is amazing and lots to see! All around an amazing trip and will be excited for our next visit back!
Been coming here since I was a kid 30 years ago and it’s still my favourite campground in all of Ontario. A canoeing paradise. There’s something special about canoeing on grand lake that can’t be explained. You just have to experience it. Beautiful Sandy beaches. It’s usually booked full in the summer but there’s a day use area if you’re willing to do the drive for the day. It’s worth it. No cell service. Great way to disconnect. Clams in the water, lots of tadpoles and bull frogs, loons, and many other birds and wildlife. Two hiking trails right from the campground.
beautiful site. The only thing the mosquitoes n were bad.. But still had a wonderful time. Our site was close to the lake
Honestly this was the most amazing Campground I've been to in awhile. To be technology free was amazing & a great change, but the one thing you can't beat is the views ! Restrooms: Two different restrooms real toilets or a potta-potty Dog-friendliness: Most areas were pet friendly but not all Picnic area: Beautiful picnic areas everywhere
A beautiful campground amongst the trees with sandy beach on a sandy bottom lake. Lots of parking and lots of trails. Staff on site. Come with plenty of food and fuel as there are no gas stations or convenience store. Dogs allowed in one section of campground. This is where tom thomson painted the jack pine.
Beautiful park!! Great sites and flush toilets instead of outhouses. Water was beautiful and excellent hiking around. Be prepared for a very long dirt road drive in.
Beautiful quiet campground by the lake. Low density of people, awesome sunset by the beach. Very shallow beach that you can almost walk to middle of the lake. Love this place!
Awesome and really beautiful camp ground. I have never felt so safe and comfortable . Very large camp spots. Bathrooms very clean. Extremely nice Park Rangers.
One of the most amazing places in Ontario, it's a beautiful trip to get there, backcountry campsites are very private and within a reasonable paddle. Baron Canyon is spectacular in any season
One of the must visits of Algonquin Park. I camped in some of the Backcountry sites near high falls and Stratton lake and the scenery was pristine. The surrounding hiking trails and Petawawa River are some of the best sights in Northern Ontario.
