We visited in August, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A wet, cool summer meant that the bugs were a little more active than usual, but that is a risk you take when visiting Algonquin. One of the best features of Arowhon is its isolation - the 15 minute drive in from highway 60 ensures that you are really removed from any signs of civilization. No traffic noise, and no internet or cell service. The swimming area is very nice, and the water temp was quite pleasant in early August, despite the cool and rainy weather for much of the summer. The accommodations were comfortable, the service excellent, and the food as always was delicious and plentiful. We hope to be back again in not too long!

beautiful resort type place surrounded by beautiful nature! we saw few hummingbirds flying around the facade. things are expensive here but one can understand that the facility is literally in the middle of nowhere!!

A thoroughly amazing place to vacation. Spend the day exploring the park by canoe kayak or sailboat, then come in for a wonderful 5 star dinner. Well off the busy highway corridor, peaceful and serene. We saw many species of birds, beaver, and 4 moose. The cabins are rustic, but well maintained and the dining hall is a true piece of history. The staff are amazing. Use of the park trails and camp equipment is included. There is a games room, tennis court, and a sauna. I can't say enough good things about Arowhon Pines.

I stopped there out of curiosity just to see the place and walked around... It is a secluded area near a lake with gorgeous views... Long drive on unpaved road away from hwy 60.
It seemed to be a very good and expensive accommodation. But then, I checked their website: their rates are insane for what they offer: bedrooms in cabins with shared living room and amenities, not even separate cabins.

Arowhon Pines is a wonderful retreat in the heart of Algonquin Park. The rooms are spotless and luxurious. The food is beyond amazing. The staff is responsive to every need. Canoes, sailboats, kayaks, sauna, games' room, tennis court, trails and more are available to guests or you can simply enjoy the view from the dining room porch. We had a great time.
