U-Haul Moving & Storage of Southside

The staff at this location are awesome and always looking to go the extra mile! Their manager is fantastic as is their hitch pro, both are very knowledgeable. One lady that works here is so friendly and sweet (Beryl), make sure to say hi!

This was an awful experience and I will go out of my way to avoid using U-Haul ever again and even encourage others to look elsewhere. I ordered a 5x10 trailer for the day stating I need it until 6pm. I was told my order was all set. The next day I recieved an email telling me I could pick up a trailer at a different location and I had to return it by 3 pm so they could rent it out again. Despite the fact I was told it was a daily rate I was paying. I was annoyed by this so I phoned in and they told me they would sort it out. The following day I recieved another email telling me I could pick up an open trailer 5x7 instead and return it by 3 pm still. This meant they didn't listen to my complaint at all and instead completely downgraded me. I have since cancelled my order and gone with another company. Simply awful service and I clearly was not valued as a customer at all.

I've had issues with this location a few times. I was given a 27' truck that sounded like it was going to die but was reassured that it was fine. Back into my driveway and get the truck loaded within an hour(truck was off minus hazards blinking) and the friggen thing wouldn't turn over when we went to leave! Since then they have upgraded their trucks thankfully. This most recent time we went, the guy who was cashing us out didn't feel like he needed to write our return kilometers down and almost charged us $20 extra. When I said the kilometers were incorrect he was hesitant to go double check. Pays to be attentive. I do habe to say this location has lots of supplies on hand and it's a convenient south location.

service has durastically improved. so far this was the best experience i’ve had at this location . in the past it used to be so challenging to get though to anyone at this location. but this time it’s been great experience.

Overcharged us for our rental and would not offer us reimbursement or a credit back. Also did not have rental van booked but upsaled us to a cargo van which was more inconvenient than anything and smelled badly of urine. It was almost unbearable to use and cost over triple the rate of the truck we wanted and they had multiple sitting on the lot upon arrival and the exact same ones 2 days later less Were still sitting there. I would make sure you get what you booked or reserved before letting them screw you over like they did to us. Buyer beware!
