Went in and purchased six dress shirts. Good prices but check items closely for any issues. Tons of sections to shop for items. Lots of staff able to assist. Bring your own bag as they cost .25 cents
So to start, yes you can get lucky at Goodwill and find a gem! Of course, no disputing that. I get they want to make money and they aren’t just going to give everything away but they are worse than a garage sale that is asking way too much for their junk. Keep in mind they do not pay any money for this product. Be prepared to also see a lot of overpriced borderline garbage/ e-waste they are trying to sell. They seem to think that because someone puts an asking price on eBay or Kijiji for an item that this indicates it’s value. Attached are photos of some of the stuff that rots on their shelves and no one buys.
Didn't get what we were looking for which was portable bedside lamp, but they had quite a handful of lovely lamps, decors, small home appliances, I did check out their clothing and shoes section, quite lovely stuffs they've got. Cute long boots and outing shoes for women.
Found great deals here every time and also love donating to the good cause. The staff are helpful, the store is fairly clean. The books could use a bit more organizing, but browsing through the shelves can be rewarding too.
This was the first time I have been in the location just off Calgary trail south. Not really impressed, the old location off of 51 st was much better laid out. The books section is but a fraction of what it was, prices are in some cases more then buying new. Clothing was ok but that can vary depending on donations. It could be that in these harder times people are looking to get more mileage out of stuff before donating. Over all I don't know if the same manager is there from the old store, I doubt it. She ran a tight ship and a well laid out floor plan, staff used to be helpful, not standing around chatting doing nothing. Toys section was disappointing which is why GPA stopped there to begin with. Not sure I will return.
Prompt drive-up service. I was greeted enthusiastically by an attendant who came out as I was rolling to a stop. He took my box of donations, complimented me on my old pick-up truck, and my hat, and sent me on my way without any need to even step out of the driver's seat. The whole process took 10 seconds from the tome I rolled to a stop. Great service Goodwill!
Fair prices, great air conditioning and a relatively sensory friendly environment! Somebody should go snag these glasses lol!
Great selection, clean clothing items and helpful staff and unlike their Value Village counterparts they still offer the convenience of changing rooms to make sure the clothes fit before you purchase them. The one thing I take issue with is the fact that as a customer you are required to check your backpack at the door and leave it by the check-out counter. This is a bit offensive as they are assuming that people with backpacks are thieves yet I saw several customers walk in with large sidebags and purses and they were not asked to leave their bags by the check-out.
I often drop clothes and other items at this location, and am always greeted in a friendly and prompt manner. I love that Goodwill is not only serving to assist challenged individuals in their area, but is also a huge contributing party to the overall environmental wellbeing of our community since many of the items not sold are often either donated or sold to parties who repurpose things like clothing items into items rags, etc.
Super friendly greeter, appreciated the donation and said Thank You and Happy New Year! And you could tell the gentleman was genuine. Always love the folks at this donation centre. Keep up the friendly work!
