From the moment we drove up to the doors on Leonard AvenuenStarting with the Porters the Service and CARE was exceptional & continues to be.nnPulling up, I was unsure being from out of town didn’t know where I was going. The Porter assisted in getting me into my wheelchair , was very polite ,patient and he knew exactly where I needed to go as soon as I told him the doctor’s name. After I come down the elevator and the same gentleman greeted me with his smile and stated that my ride was waiting. Maneuver through the hallways and got me out the correct doors.nnThe appointment was less than seven minutes waiting time and for a new patient I did not know what to expect, but it was pleasant to see that everybody matters no matter how long you’ve been a patient.nnBless nAll of the physicians and staff at UHN
DO NOT GO HERE. they will abandon you in a room for hours with no information and berate you and gaslight you if you try to speak up about their lack of ethics and care for patients. these people do not care about other human beings. especially if you are disabled or a woman, go anywhere else in the city, this hospital wants you to die and will do everything in their power to ensure you do not recieve care. the nurses are more concerned about standing around drinking iced coffee than doing their jobs. if you try to advocate for yourself they mark you a trouble patient and scream at you to be more obedient while enduring their lack of care. great time to think about legal action if you've ever been unfortunate enough to go here.
I went to the emergency room at this hospital twice in one week after an accident. The staff were really nice and attentive. The waiting time wasn’t too longor maybe it was because of my condition. I saw that the reviews are not that nice, so I thought it was fair to share my experience. Overall, a nice hospital with friendly staff.
Terrible service here by the health care 'professionals' and I use that terms extremely loosely. Pre-triage attendant was pretty rude and not very friendly or welcoming. Came here to tale my mom and eventually after 2 hours she got called in the other room to see a doctor. The male 'nurse' who called to take her in was sooooo rude!! I couldn't believe his attitude!! Extremely unprofessional and pathetic. He was definitely out of line. Guy was giving me so much attitude and the minute ypu try and say something to stick up and defend yourself he says to go wait outside. I would not come here ever again unless my life depended on it and I highly do not recommend anyone coming to this emergency room if they have a choice. The waiting room is very dirty and unsanitary. That coupled with the rude and unprofessionalism of the staff working here equals just bad experience overall. I think I would rather die than come back here for any type of service. I've been to a few hospitals and emergency rooms but this one has to be the worst of them all! Even worse than st. Mike's and st. Joe's!!! The staff here really need some training o how to treat people and patients!!! I'm sure there's times when these rude individuals may get treated badly by some but man do they deserve it for the way they treat people!! What goes around comes around! I wish this guy would come to my place of work so I could tell him to hit the road!!! These rude workers just treat patients so badly because they can, if you try and defend yourself or speak up for yourself they simply say that you are abusive to them and have the police come. In reality they're just bullies doing whatever they feel like with no remorse or consequences since they know if you try and say anything or stand up for yourself they will just call the cops on you. Whatever happened to our anti-bullying laws???!!! I really am so amazed that these are the people we hire to treat the sick and injured??? What were we thinking? If these kinds of people hate their lives and jobs so much they shoyld find a new profession as they really don't deserve to be working I health care that's for sure!!! Wow it's not just the one guy who is rude! There was another guy waiting in the waiting room, a nurse called his name he said do you have a wheelchair?her response was why you can't walk? He replied no tha5s why I'm here for. Her rebuttal that she yelled while walking away to get him one was well how would I know? Thats why I asked!!! Really? Tha5s considered compassionate, caring, or kind? Nope justmore examples of the terrible service provided by all the staff working here!
Staff admin don’t do crap. I told a staff member that a person was spitting/calling people names and security should be informed. She got upset that I asked that and said patients have their free will to do whatever they want-even if on drugs. Ward clerk at ambulatory area 11 pm on April 26th emergency. Nurses and doctors are dope tho.
