My dad spent time at Runnymede, he didn’t like it although I didn’t have any issues with it.nEW Bickle Centre I admit I skeptical because of the location and I know our health care system is having some challenges. The Ward rooms covered by OhiP are much better than the Semi and the private rooms at Runnymede.nnThe private room at Runnymede was too cold and no view. The semis seemed too tight. After both experiences I would take the Ward rooms at EW Bickle over the Semis and privates in a second. This place might be underrated, everyone even the patients seem very friendly.nnThere’s parking on the streets for an hour until 6pm then it’s good until midnight, you can also park in their lot, $10 for the whole day.nnIt’s clean, quiet, and I’m personally feeling a lot better about this place. I won’t post pictures although this wasn’t our first choice I’m glad this place turned out to be above my expectations.nnKeep it up EW Bickle 10 out of 10
Very poor care. Physios are excellent, but some of the nursing staff are not very attentive. Left my 90 year old mother in the same clothes for two days. They also threw her dentures out and have made no move to reimburse her.
Toronto Rehab Bickle Center's Orange Team Rochelle PT Viktoriya OT and Liz PT/OT Assistant, alongside the medical Dr Ling, Dr Tewari, Dr Sugar and Dr Liang, dietician Christina, speech-language pathologist, Sam and Kara and CDA Gabrielle, epitomizes excellence in comprehensive care. Their collective efforts were instrumental in guiding my husband through his recovery journey, restoring his ability move, sit, walk with a walker, and addressing his swallowing and memory abilities. The medical team always kept me in the loop and addressed our concerns timely.nnFrom the outset, the medical team and Orange Team teams greeted us with warmth and professionalism, demonstrating dedication to my husband's well-being. Their expertise, coupled with genuine compassion, provided a reassuring presence during a challenging time.nnThe therapists on Team Orange showcased remarkable skill and commitment in devising a tailored treatment plan for my husband's physiotherapy and occupational therapy needs. Their use of techniques and personalized approaches ensured each session was effective and empowering.nnEqually commendable is the Speech-Language Pathologist and CDA team, who played a crucial role in addressing my husband's swallowing and memory abilities. Their expertise and patience were evident as they worked tirelessly to improve his function in these areas, improving his overall quality of life. Sam advocated for my husband and I am forever grateful for what he did for him. His professionalism and kindly really showernnIt’s important to note that family or myself would be there at the rehab center everyday helping as much as we could and advocating for him when needed. Sometimes getting a response isn’t immediate or timely but its important that nursing staff are covering many patients. We assisted the nurses or PSW staff when needed. While most of the nursing team at Toronto Rehab Bickle Center goes above and beyond to provide excellent care, like any group, there may be a few who don't meet the same high standards. Nonetheless, the most of the staff are dedicated to ensuring patients receive top-notch care.nnIn summary, I am deeply grateful to Team Orange, the medical, nursing, speech-language, and CDA at Toronto Rehab Bickle Center for their outstanding care and support. Their collaborative approach and unwavering dedication have made a profound impact on my husband's life.
I had surgery and needed assistance to help with placing my father for a few weeks until I got back on my feet or until there was a placement for palliative care for my dad who was suffering of Stage 4 Lung Cancer, I wish I had never put him there. There is no doctors to assist in his care only nurses who would neglect the call bell. This looks like a hospital but not one, think twice before putting a loved one in their care especially if there is no one with their language. The first couple of days he was there everything was find cause I would be with him until I only left him two weeks he was alone everything went down hill even my dads phone went missing, I would not give they any stars
My elderly father was sent to Bickle Centre after spending several weeks at TGH.nAt first , I was upset, thinking I will need to drive 52 km one way to visit my father , but only until I met excellent staff of South 4 and “ Orange team” lead by Dr. Eric LingnDoctors , nurses , dietitian, speech pathologist , treatment coordinator, OT ladies , ALL OF THEM , kept me informed about my father health daily and worked very productive and professional to speed his recovery.nToday , I brought my father home, after 2,5 weeks at the Bickle centre.nHe is feeling much better, he has a new walkrer thanks to Rochelle OT, who helped us to apply ,nSending out big respect and appreciation to all workers at Bickle Centre.nGod bless your
