City Adult Learning Centre

April 10, 2024 is our Celebration day of Eid and it's exam day of my son at School. I got disappointed as it should have been a holiday for muslim students to stay with family. Management knows but they ignored it.

Great school, great teachers. Thanks Ms. Andy and Ms. Isabel. You make PSW classes very exciting to roll through!

If I could give this school zero stars I would, I've NEVER had so much trouble with a TDSB school EVER before. I have to find my own placement but they can find 34 other students placements with no problem. And don't get me started on the staff.. smh .. the PSW program not worth all the trouble and stress.

Secretary is really unprofessional and seems like she doesn’t enjoy her job, really rude towards anybody and gives disrespectful answers with a condescending tone.nnPlease get better staff TDSB.nnPeople that actually want to work and help others.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the City Adult Learning Centre that I simply can't overlook. I attempted to contact their administration or guidance counselors over the course of two days, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. To my utter dismay, I received absolutely no response whatsoever.nnThe first glaring issue I encountered was their registration system, which is painfully old and outdated. It's astonishing that an institution in this day and age could have such an inefficient and time-consuming system in place. People were spending their entire day waiting to register, and I personally endured a grueling 9-hour ordeal just trying to speak to someone about registration. I finally reached a breaking point and had to leave when someone pulled a fire alarm, which only added to the chaos.nnIt's baffling that the City Adult Learning Centre seems so resistant to change. Maybe they're stuck in their comfort zone, but it's clear that their current approach is not working. The staff at this institution also appeared entirely too comfortable with their jobs. It was evident that they had little motivation to provide any level of customer service or assistance. They seemed disinterested and indifferent to the long lines of frustrated individuals waiting to register.nnWhile my experience with the City Adult Learning Centre left me deeply frustrated, it's important to note that there are a few bright spots amid the chaos. Some teachers at the center are indeed extremely nice and approachable. They genuinely try their best to provide quality education despite the limitations of the resources they're given. These educators are a testament to the potential for positive change within the institution.
