Hotel is VERY dated. Tub had a liner on it that appeared to have water underneath it so it was like trying to shower while standing on a water bed. The tiles were cracked and the grout was entirely open in places. Door in the bathroom looked like it had water damage at the bottom. The bed was hard as hell. The TV had the most basic cable, no option to rent movies or stream. The WIFI was slower than regular data. The restaurant food was mid. They advertise being able to get room service but when we tried ordering was closed despite the resto being open. Will not stay again. The only reason it has an extra star is because everyone we dealt with for service was fantastic.
beds are horrible. Bed frame came out as a sharp knife, covered with bedsheet. My wife hit that end of frame and had punctured her leg. I called the hotel office, he called the repair person in the middle of night and fixed the bed frame. My wife was with pain in the leg for 7 days.nnSmoking on the front of hotel door is common and most of the time. This is the first hotel in my life in north America where hotel front door welcome you with smokers.nnIn the hotel rooms, smokers were found occasionally, they smoke in the corridor sometime and in the way down to parking area.nnHotel manager Kevin, excellent person, welcoming, I salute him. Since we were staying in hotel for long-term due to fire in our building. Kevin arranged a christmas party for us with gifts millions of thanks and also tea party before that as a welcome party. Hotel staff was very good, no complain. Laundary machines were excellent, microwaves were good to heat food. Cleaning staff was great.nnHotel restaurant was slightly expensive and but good. Tim Horton is 5 minutes walk. Underground and above ground parking was available
We checked in for a cozy daytime stay. Yes, it’s an older hotel but definitely makes up for it with the amenities, location and spaciousness of this place - love the pool with glass dome ceiling and the traditional dry sauna. Our room was a nice temp, comfortable and sound-proofed. Bed was comfortable with nice pillows and hotel-quality sheets. Decent toiletries vanilla-scented! and good water pressure although I wish the water was a bit hotter. Overall, this is a pretty solid hotel for the price. Look forward to staying for the night next time!
Rooms are ok. Basic non smart TV, good bed but poor pillows. Shower was warm but never hot. You can hear noise from other rooms. Very basic gym with pool. Good location and great staff.
This hotel is in a convenient location near the bus station, and the staff are friendly. However, the property is in desperate need of upgrades. While the rooms are kept clean, they feel very out dated. There is an on-site bar, but it’s basic—really only good for a quick drink if you’re in a pinch.nProspective guests should know there aren't many dining options nearby, so plan on ordering Uber Eats.nAlso, despite the no-smoking policy, the hallways often smell like weed. I also noticed some government-sponsored guests during my stays; while they didn't cause major issues, the atmosphere can feel a bit unpredictable. The rates usually $120–$150 are fair, but I wouldn't recommend staying here during high season when prices jump to $250+, as the quality doesn't match that price point.
