Everything we ordered tasted so delicious and so heartwarming. The classics are so well elevated – flavours and textures danced in our mouths. The atmosphere is cozy, like dinner at the cottage table. Service deserves a shout-out Overall, a really admirable place. We will be back for more!
The Cottage Cheese is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in the market right now . The food is amazing , ambience is vibrant and most of all, the staff are extremely hospitable. From the moment we came in , till the end the level of detail and service shown to us was incredible. Our server Pari was awesome. He gave us amazing recommendations, and was super friendly. The best hospitality, we’ve experienced at a restaurant in Toronto !
The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and welcoming. The food was really good, served with a nice presentation. Our server was really kind and attentive. We were given a cauliflower recipe dish from the house. Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options
Best Indian food I’ve had in downtown Toronto! It was the cutest restaurant to start with and was conveniently located in the heart of Kensington market. The servers were super nice to you and would answer any sort of questions you may have about their dishes. We went on a busy Thursday night and they were able to seat us pretty fast. They gave us some vegetable fritters to start with this was on the house and it was delicious. We got some deep fried eggplant for another appetizer and it was crisp and delicious. For the main course, we got the chilli garlic naan this was actually a little spicy, garlic naan, chicken biriyani this came in a naan on top, lamb vindaloo very spicy and butter paneer a mild dish. Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to go back!!
Fantastic place with a completely unique experience when it comes to Indian fine dine. The decor was another factor that adds to your experience. Went there with a group of 6 friends and had a great time. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes were delicious and scrumptious. Will surely be back again.
Best Indian restaurant in town - Excellent food, service and environment. I think the flavour of their food is fine tuned to make it suitable for everyone. Indian food is sometimes too heavy for me but I don’t find this problem with the food served in this restaurant. My boyfriend who is a big fan for Indian food also said this restaurant is the best Indian restaurant he has ever had so far! 10/10 recommend! Their naan is very unique and tasty. A MUST ORDER ITEM!!
The food here is delicious and reasonably priced - we ordered 3 mains and 2 side dishes and the bill came to around $80: Saag paneer Paneer tikka masala Fish curry Garlic naan Chili garlic naan Would definitely recommend this place for dinner! The interior is really nice and the service is amazing - we couldn’t decide between dishes and the waiter was very helpful in providing his honest opinion and suggestions.
I was walking by and felt the amazing vibe of the place. Warm and nice ambient, cozy atmosphere and lively decoration. The food was very tasty, fresh and full of flavors. All the staff were kind and thoughtful. Pari was very sweet and explained the menu and the options. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
10/10 for the vibes. Nice little cozy restaurant. Staff were really great and super friendly. The reservation experience was great, did it all online via the chat feature. The food was average, high in quality but lacking some flavors. We had the samosa and paneer shashlik. Samosa could have had more chutney on the side it was decent. Paneer shashlik was good, also had pineapple in the mix which was nice. Chicken 65 was not great it was too tomato-y and not like the authentic chicken 65 we were expecting. For mains the paneer tikka masala was really good. The naans were superb. The daal bukhara and veg korma were pretty basic, need some more oomph. The portions were also pretty small compared to regular indian restaurants. In drinks the basil bazooka was good if you like basil the flavor was front and center. Would recommend, as well as the kokum sour that was great too. Service was a little slow, however they did warn us that it would be since the restaurant was packed with some large groups Overall, I would still recommend this spot. Perhaps request for a higher spice level in the dishes.
Another best place in downtown that serves Indian food I tried rosemary naan for the first time here and was like heaven!! Cheese naan was also good. Wanted to try more but my tummy was full. Definitely worth trying here tried paneer tikka and it was good toooooo!!
