Delicious twist on Indian cuisine ! Came for brunch and the food was delicious. I loved all the spices and flavours. The lamb sausage was so good, goes super well with the green sauce. The dessert were too sweet for my personal preference but my friend liked it. Will definitely come back for dinner some time.Food: 5/5
Came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Food and drinks were amazing. Loved everything from samosa Benny to broccoli pakoras. Good innovative cocktails too!Food: 5/5
If you haven't had Curryish Tavern yet, what are you waiting for? Founded by Chef Miheer, his creations are truly elevating everyday Indian food into something different that you can't find anywhere in the city. As someone who has been around Toronto a lot as well as dining at a lot of Indian restaurants, Curryish is near, if not the top, choice that I'd recommend in Toronto. With a vast menu that caters to both veggie and meat eaters alike, as well as an elevated and indian-inspired drinks menu, they have a little bit for everyone and everything.
The food wasnt bad but I wouldn't say it was good either. Some of their sauces were too sour on their paneer and their zucchini. Their fries were not good at all and any fast food place can do it better. The cake was too dense and minty. Their curry and pudding were the only palatable dishes but I've had way better Indian food for a fraction of the price The service was good though
Came here for dinner and drinks and was not disappointed. The restaurant takes on classic Indian dishes with high end ingredients and flair. For starters we had ahi tuna Pani Puri, pork appam and samosas all of which were great with the Pani Puri and appam being the highlights. Main courses were even better; Duck confit with Foie Gras, Beef Cheek Curry, Lamb Biryani and an assortment of breads. I definitely will visit again!
I encourage people to try Curryish Tavern. The creative approach to Indian dishes is commendable. All dishes were well plated. The spices and ingredients are well balanced and delicious. Chef Miheer Shete took the time to talk and explain the creative approach that I agree needs to be more in Indian Cuisine. It’s worth the trip. Parking: 81-95 Stanley Terrace Parking would be convenient spot if you can’t find parking on the street. Only 4 minutes walk to the restaurant.
Elevating Toronto's Indian culinary horizon, Curryish Tavern stands as a gastronomic revelation! Chef Miheer's warm hospitality, combined with a brilliant melding of fresh Canadian produce and the time-tested recipes from India—most notably the 'Konkan Coastal' region—creates an experience that's nothing short of divine. Dive into the irresistible Samosa Turnovers, the unique Upama Fries, and indulge in the seasonally-inspired paneer dishes, perfectly paired with Ghavan or the innovative Montreal-style Bagel Paratha. Set against a backdrop of a relaxed, bistro-style ambiance, it's the quintessential destination for food enthusiasts seeking unparalleled flavor journeys. Delight in every bite!
Not a great experience. My friend and I got the fried Brussels sprouts to start which were very underwhelming. Small portion size, they don’t really have much flavour apart from fried and the dips served with them with ok neither paired that well, certainly not worth $16 . I got the duck curry which was Delicious although I expected more than just the duck, curry sauce and few pieces of kale; the curry was very flavourful. I got the roti with it as server recommended a bread and was not a fan. I had two bites of it- All I could taste was grease and couldn’t get the servers attention to get something else or tell her as she never checked on our table . Took us 20-25 min to get our food wrapped and the bill. Poor service and not sure I’d return.
We got the broccoli pakora, which were good, and so was the stuffed paneer+grilled corn curry. However, the aloo gnocchi with roasted cauliflower curry was a big miss. It was basically yellow kudi as the sauce, and the combination just didn’t work for me. Maybe a change in the sauce would bring out that dish more, perhaps a shahi paneer gravy, paneer makhani gravy, or pav bhaji gravy. Nonetheless, it was an okay experience and their chai martini was delicious!
If I could give this place a higher review, I would. This is hands down the best restaurant I've ever been too. The cocktails are absolutely amazing! The appetizers are to die for. The dishes are delicious! The service is so efficient! We were served by lovely Corymbia real life Lorax. We chatted with the bartender who makes the best drinks and the owner has a great story as well. It's been such a unique and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this place to everyone ! Indian food with a huge twist. Absolutely amazing. Pictures don't do justice. You need to try it for yourself !
