When done properly, Indian food can be both delicious and aromatic. I had the chicken rice for lunch, which was reasonably good considering the texture and taste. I feel it was slightly overpriced though, but most restaurants nearby have similar problem.Food: 4/5
Again Subjective review from my point of view Food - Brilliant! Service - The service was excellent, we asked them to refill our personal water bottle and they did it with no push to buy retail water bottles. Loved this. Atmosphere - The over all vibe and setup was so "Desi" and "Streetish". As we say in Hindi "Swaad aur Maaza agaya!". We had the Butter Chicken dish and Glub jammun desserts! They were too good! Based on the recent food we have had on some of the Food stalls at couple of places, faith is again being restored, by places like these to "Spend" on food. Recommendation do visit the place. Couple of Cons if I can point them is 1 The place is too small 2 The nearby "Club" is not so "Sanskari". So going with family might shock your family. But the owners can't control their neighbours so I am not degrading the rating on these cons.
This is a small nice spot to try out indian street food. It wasn't my first at Chaska as I have tried their Mississauga branch a few times but this location was new for me. I took a bunch of friends there as they wanted to try Pani puri & Chat. We ordered Samosa Chat, Pani Puri, Daal chawal, Ande ka Fanda and Bhel Chat. Samosa Chat and Bhel was something that every body appreciated. Ande ka Fanda was a big failure while Pani puri was really simple there was no mint chatni only chickpeas and sauce. Still this place is worth trying.
There’s Samosa Poutine and then there’s Pav Bhaji - bread with vegetarian curry. The right fusion combo and convenient location m in the middle of downtown. I enjoyed my Pav Bhaji, was left wanting for more with the Paani Puri. The ambience was super casual but can be well maintained with regular clean up. The tables and chairs had water dripping and I sat in a pool of water unknowingly. The ac wasn’t working the day we visited and it was so stifling we had to ask the severs to open the door for air flow. Granted things happen but opening the door is super basic. Definitely needs improvement from a customer service and ambience standpoint.
This a nice place for a quick pick up or quick dine in. They have small sitting area which is understandable due to lack of space. Food quality and taste was very nice. The hot sauce is really hot. I loved the serving paper and plate, it gives some information about street food in India. The basic principles of indian culture are well depicted in it. Make sure you read it thoroughly when you visit. It would be nice if they could maintain a good degree of cleanliness.
It was a great place to eat fusion Indian chat. It's right in the heart of Toronto. We tried their samosa sliders, pav bhaji and gulab jamun. All 3 were tasty especially the hot gulab jamun that too with a reasonable price. Worthy place to hangout with your friends and family when you take a trip to Toronto.Food: 5/5
From the moment you spot their sign at eye level and drop down the stairs into the restaurant you realize you've come to a pretty cool place. Very friendly and the prices were reasonable.Food: 5/5
Service was a little slow and unorganized but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We tried their grill platter and pav bhaji, both were absolutely delicious and fulfilling. I would eat there again. highly recommended if you're not in a hurry.Recommended dishesTikka
Cute little Indian street food spot. Its a fast food place with cute graphicson the wall. I went to their Mississauga location before and liked it. I was passing the Toronto location and first, assumed it would be catered to non-Indians but boy, was I wrong! We ordered the butter chicken with rice/Naan and gol gappe and everything was so aromatic and delicious. My mouth is still drooling from the butter chicken dish I had!
Authentic Indian street food restaurant with various options. Samosas are very crisp and filling. Samosa chaat and Pav Bhaji are some of the popular dishes.Food: 5/5
