I died and went to Butter chicken Roti heaven. I cannot say enough good things about this food. The sauce was creamy and well seasoned with fresh spices. Nice chunks of chicken and potato all wrapped in a roti that was freshly made. I love Indian food and have had my share of terrible curries but this butter chicken sauce was perfection. The side of samosa was just as good. Mango lassie and the meal was complete. I’ll be back as this is my new Indian take out I’ll be back again and again!
Delicious food! Its a nice place to grab lunch or dinner and it's a good price range if you're in the mood for Indian without breaking the bank. It was friendly service and a easy to get to spot. It's not an upscale restaurant by any means if you're looking for that asethetic, but it gives the charm of a ma-and-pa diner.
With the highly rating, we went in with high expectations, wasn't disappointed at all. We had butter chicken with rice, another order with roti and lastly with extra spicy chicken tikkamasala. The food and service were superb! The chef/owner and his staff were so helpful and kind to us.
This place is amazing. The food is so delicious and fresh! I like that their menu clearly shows what is vegan, vegetarian, and non vegatarian, which made it easy for me. I tried the eggplant and the mixed vegetable rotis, and they were so good. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind shout out to the lady who works weekends, Abid, and Gi Gi Jacob. They helped me choose a menu item. I chose to eat in the first time, and takeout the second. In both visits, they offered me a sweet, which was super delicious. Can't wait to visit again. Vegetarian options: The menu has clearly labelled vegetarian and vegan options.
We were pleasantly surprised with this eatery after thinking we were coming to a proper restaurant. We tried their butter chicken roti and it was delicious. They gave us a spicy chutney to go with it and that elevated the flavor of the roti.
The man at the front counter was super friendly and nice as soon as we walked in. I ordered the vegan cauliflower and potato roti, and my partner ordered the vegetarian chana roti. It took about 10-15 minutes to prepare. He brought it to our table with a jug of water, and even gave us a complimentary vegan dessert on the house! I enjoyed my cauliflower roti. It was steaming hot, a generous portion size, and had great curry flavor. I got medium spicy and didn't notice it at first but halfway through my dish, the spice started to build. It was never too spicy for my taste though! Perfectly tolerable. My partner got the hot level and it was noticeably spicy from the first bite, but he also found it tolerable. I also tried the mango pickle. Very strong tangy flavor. Not my preference but if you're into bright, tangy sauces, it packs a punch. We walked in around 5:30pm on a Saturday night and were able to eat inside the restaurant. The table next to us has a "Reserved" sign on it so I guess you can reserve tables. By 6:15pm when we left, it was much busier than when we first arrived. Highly recommend this roti shop! The friendly service alone is worth popping in for. Vegetarian options: The majority of the menu is vegan and/or vegetarian.
Just came in to Toronto for our hotel and get out of the winter storm! While walking down Queen St. W. we smelled some amazing aromas wafting as we walked through the snow. This led us to Roti Mahal. Prodip the owner had blended his own spices, and makes the food fresh daily, from the vegetarian to the chicken dishes. We have been able to dine in and was treated with samples of their other sauces and happily purchased their chutneys to bring home. Now this experience was completed with the fruit salad and the mango lassi, and the attentive assistant, Abid! The food was fantastic and I have been raised with eating roti and curries all my life and found the food out of this world. I am a foodie and found the food match fine dining and I found the blends superb! Vegetarian options: Options for Vegan and vegetarian Dietary restrictions: Great to allow for gluten-free with the biryani
It has been being recommended by my friends and finally has the chance today to try today. It turns out the food is really yummy and full of welcome from the service. Will go again!
Delicious roti, huge portion size, excellent service, reasonably priced. Lots of vegetable options too. Whats not to like? Better than my roti place imo. Definitely would go back!Food: 5/5
Hands down this is the best Indian food joint in the downtown for quick appetizers. Very professional service and staff was very polite and helpful. Prodip Das Sir and the team always goes above and beyond to make every customer feel special. Coming to food, I ordered their Paneer Biryani! It was very delicious and the quality was outstanding. They served me with a complimentary pudding and a pop as well. I would like to highly recommend this place to everyone who wants to have tasty Indian food without burning a hole in their pockets.
