The room was nice, the floor could have been cleaner. I booked two rooms using reward points for the stay to attend a funeral. At the end of the sta, I receive a folio of zero charges to room since nothing is charged to the rooms. Following the week I’ve noticed a charge on each room. I reached out to the hotel and was advised that Mr. Asad Khan hotel manager would handle it. I never heard from him. I made several phone calls to the Springhill suites left voice messages, per Mr Khan voicemail sent emails - and he would never respond. File a complaint with Marriott resolutions who asked to have more time while they reached out to Mr. Asad Khan, who would not respond to Marriott resolutions department. I had to file a Dispute claim with my bank, and resolution department refunded my points. So this day, I’ve made several attempts again to reach Mr. Khan and he has never returned a call or responded to your email. I’m a lifetime platinum with Marriott and I have never had an issue in the past 15 years. This was my first issue ever and I can’t believe the lack correspondence from the local hotel manager Asad Khan.nnSomeone who does not deserve to be in that position.
The facility is okay but it needs some TLC and updates for me to stay again. My room smelled a bit like smoke upon entry. The carpet may have been the cause but that means it needs shampooing. Furniture is a little dated and worn, and my room was overdue for a deep clean. Nooks and crannies in the room had food crumbs, dust and hair. The wall paper needs replaced behind the headboard and the white ceiling needs repainted above the beds. There were some hair strands revealed on the sheets when I pulled back the duvet. I believe the dim lighting hides a lot, but when you turn the lights up....yeaahh. Rooms just need a little TLC and a second set of eyes and I believe it will be spectacular.
TRAVELER BEWAREnMy family lost our home in a house fire. After staying here for 3 days the staff told my family we could no longer stay, and would have to leave the next day since they don’t want “locals” staying here.nA true business that kicks you while you’re down. Their ideals and values are not somewhere worth spending your money.nStaff and manager were aware that my family were just displaced due to the house burning down.
The train is nearby but we didn’t hear it at night. The rooms are great but the front desk seemed confused on things. There was someone newer so I assume that’s why. Only one person there really knew what was going on. But it was clean, well appointed and in a good location to get around.
I had a very disappointing experience. My confirmed reservation was not honored because my room was given to someone else. Instead, I was told—upon arrival—that there were no rooms available and that I needed to go to a Fairfield hotel half a mile away.nNo transportation was provided, and I had to call an Uber close to midnight, paying premium rates out of pocket after an already long day of travel with my family.nTo make matters worse, I originally booked a 2-queen suite with a sofa bed to accommodate my family of five, but the Fairfield location only provided a standard room with two queen beds, which was not suitable for us.nThe lack of communication was extremely frustrating. No one contacted me in advance to inform me that my reservation would not be honored, which would have at least given me the opportunity to make alternative arrangements.nWhen I raised these concerns, the manager offered 5,000 points as compensation, which frankly does not come close to addressing the inconvenience and stress caused.nGiven this experience, I am very disappointed and will seriously reconsider staying with Marriott in the future.
