The Westin Calgary

Highly recommend staying here. The best part was the staff. Bowie took such good care of us and started the amazing experience for us as soon as we walked through the front doors. She put a smile on our face right from the start. Will definitely be back!

As a regular customer of Marriott Bonvoy, I’ve travelled to many different cities and countries and the service has always been so accommodating and consistent in the best ways possible. Although I wasn’t here for a stay, I was working an event here and my hair was as soaked by the rain. I asked the front desk if I could borrow a hair dryer and without hesitating, they said yes and went above and beyond to help me with my small problem. Thank you for your assistance MICHELLE! I’m looking forward to my next stay with your brand.

My wife and I came here for a staycation to celebrate our 8yr anniversary. Not only was the location fantastic for attending the Fiestaval a block away, but the pool was also recently renovated and opened 24/7.nBowie at the front desk was attentive, personable, and gracious. She really made the experience all the better for us! Thank you again!

The lobby of the hotel is nice and easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and I was greeted promptly and able to check in easily. I paid to self park in under ground heated parking and there were lots of spots available. The room was very large. There were a couple of spots on the carpet that seemed like they had something stuck on them, and the shower did not drain properly. Other than that it was great. I would come here again for sure. There was lots of towels, a bath robe and slippers. There was also a safe in the closet. My room was very quiet and had huge windows with great light coming in. Also blackout curtains if you don’t want the light. My room was made up by staff nicely each day.

Recommend looking elsewhere as there are better hotels & service for the price point this Westin was looking for.nnNotable issues: sauna was closed without any prior notice sad news for sore hikers, aggressive valet driver, housekeeping ignoring do not disturb signs almost walked in on me as I was in the shower and overall a less comfortable stay than many other hotels I've stayed at including other Marriotts.nnUpon reaching out to Westin I was offered a short, generic apology. One should expect more from a hotel aiming to be at the caliber of competitors like the Hyatt down the road.
