Saigon Pho

Cozy and familiar. This nice little restaurant offers a wide variety of Vietnamese and Thai dishes. They also have bubble tea and some alcohol. My go-to is always vermicelli, usually #53 with pork. It's pretty tasty. The shrimp have been getting smaller but the spring roll is delicious. My friend swears by the rare beef pho. The service is quick and then food is hot. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They are also accommodating if you need to avoid certain foods. This restaurant has peanuts. The restaurant seems clean. The washrooms are single room and accessible but the handicap door is heavy to open.

The food was great and the plates are huge. Although some of the ingredients (especially the shrimp) of my dish were a bit lacking. But definitely worth the try and it is not terribly busy on saturdays

Just tried the Black Tonkatsu Ramen with pork and thin noodle. I was not expecting real Ramen broth or noodles especially in Ottawa. The pork was tender however the noodle tasted like it was from a pack of instant noodle. The broth was okay but nothing special. For fourteen hard earned dollars I reconfirmed my belief that if you want good Ramen in Canada just eat it in Vancouver.

Very polite server. My wife had the special and wanted to ask how they prepared the spinach it was so tasty. I had the bun, and could barely finish it there was so much. Good food, good value.

The food tasted great however the service was a different story. Water was never re filled nor were we checked up on at any point. Staff were on cell phones and sitting in an empty booth disregarding. No interest in speaking with us. Ordered the pho with shrimp and chicken. The soup had 2 tiny shrimp in it. Eventually I went up to the counter, as we had no service... asked them why i only had 2 shrimp in my soup? They told me that's all I get and if I wanted more I had to order it or order a different item... What's the point of a big bowl of soup and 2 tiny shrimp!? Won't be back.
