Our flight was delayed overnight, so BA put us in this hotel overnight. It was clean, comfortable with an excellent shower.nGoing through the Casino to get food was a bit surreal! The hotel was directly on the flight path, but actually wasn't too noisy.
The best location for leaving your car behind and taking the sky train around the city! Great amenities, fun gaming and a pretty good food court. We were upgraded to a penthouse suite which was a super pleasant surprise!! The sound proofing was AMAZING especially since the hotel is directly under the flight path of the airport and we couldn't hear planes at all.
Great hotel staff, awesome buffet upstairs, little pricey but worth it, and within the casino, the food court has great burgers, pizza, and Chinese food. Chef Ramsey's restaurant isn't open as of last visit but soon I hear. The casino boasts some excellent slot games great variety of 1¢ to $1 slot denominations. Table games are plenty as well with side rooms and private for those wanting discreet and quiet gambling time. Slot also has two high roller areas which are hit and miss depending on time of day for crowd. I personally haven't seen it packed in those rooms for slots but that is the time of day I have been there. Overall this Hotel Casino is on the top of my list in the Vancouver lower mainland area. The staff are incredible very knowledgeable and always there to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and that's a big plus. They are there if you win a large sum and make sure that you get home safely. A beautiful setting too, right on the mighty Fraser River on Lulu Island in Richmond, close to the airport and the Canada Line runs right to it at the Bridgeport Station where buses and SkyTrain meet. Cabs are always there and Valet parking available for those who drive in. Ample parking with two large parking lots that are covered except the top floors. Hotel is on both sides of the complex as it is split between by a road but for those staying on the east side of the complex there is an overhead walk to get you into the main part of the lobby and the casino is on the main floor. This resort has some of the friendliest staff I've come to know which elevates
Be so careful booking here. Obviously they’re doing well as a company and are not understanding to the customer whatsoever. I had booked a room with them coming home from a long trip and unfortunately my flight got cancelled very last minute. It was not my fault, I contacted them right away to inform them I will be missing the flight and not able to make my reservation. It’s been almost 2 months and they’re not giving me a refund. I had proof of my flight cancellation, it was totally out of my hands. Since it’s close to the airport and a lot of people use this hotel during travel, just be mindful that they’re not understanding whatsoever and do not care. They just want your money. So incredibly disappointed as it was not a cheap booking. Do better guys.
Great, easy location for onward travel to the airport/ferry. This was our second visit in 2 years. We were unexpectedly upgraded which was amazing. The room gave us great panoramic views of the city. Outside bar and restaurant are lovely and the steak beautifully cooked. The hotel is having a Gordon Ramsey franchise built but its not finished … so eating options are restricted. The only small criticism was that we went to The Buffet for breakfast and were told we had to wait an hour before being served due to a large party already in situ. Our only option was to eat in the casino, where the food was aimed at a different market and was very greasy. Just a thought but really a hotel of this size should be able to staff up to accommodate peaks. Or … provide on par alternatives if this is a regular occurrence.
