We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. A special shoutout to Dennis, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He not only upgraded our room but also provided some of the best service we’ve ever received at any hotel. Dennis was professional, warm, and genuinely attentive — he made us feel like VIPs!nnThe room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and every staff interaction was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for comfort, quality, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!
We had several unpleasant experiences during our stay in regards to cleanliness.  It started with opening the rubber bath mat and unrolling it, we found it to be wet and had food bits on it. We did not end up using it because it was revolting.  We contacted the front desk who then sent a new one up to the room but didn't offer to pick up the dirty one? We found it odd.nnWhen we were about to go to bed we opened the blanket and found several dark and very curly hair we all have straight Asian hair on both beds.  It was obvious the sheets were not changed.nWe contacted the front desk who offered us to change rooms but this was 10.30pm already and we have a very tired child and we were already settled in the room.  Housekeeping went in and changed the bedding instead.nnThe next morning we then found a nail clipper tucked under the bedside table!  It does not belong to us.nnIt's obvious that the housekeeping has a lot to improve on and the manager on duties should be doing walkthroughs and checks to make sure that everything is done the way that it should.  It's a disappointing experience. The front desk offered a 20% discount of our stay, which was kind but we would have preferred if the stay was comped completely.  The state of the room was unacceptable and all of these things are preventable and within the parameter of hotel operational standards of very basic cleanliness and safety. I hope that this feedback can be looped back to the housekeeping team and management.nnNo issues with staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. Just need to be proactive.nnThe pool was great. Kids had fun.nnLocation is pretty good. Close to all the food and main Richmond destinations.
One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had – avoid if you can.nnI stayed at the Sandman Hotel in Vancouver recently, and it was honestly a huge disappointment.nnFirst, the HVAC unit in my room wasn’t working, and the room was unbearably hot the entire time. Luckily, the building technician Jerin J was incredibly nice and helpful, he tried multiple times to fix it and then provided a portable AC for the night, before I moved to another room. Jerin J is really nice guy and he made the stay more bearable for me.nnIn the second room , the desk was so low that I couldn’t even tuck my legs underneath it comfortably, making it completely useless for doing any kind of work. If you’re here for business, forget about being productive in your room.nnTo make things worse, there’s no laundry service, which is pretty surprising for a hotel in a major city. Even motels usually offer something basic.nnAnd finally, my key card stopped working for no reason at all—I hadn’t placed it near any electronics or magnets. I had to go down and get it reprogrammed, which was a hassle I didn’t need after a long day.nnDefinitely would not recommend staying here. For the price, you’d expect basic functionality and comfort, and this place couldn’t even deliver that.
We had a great time at the hotel for a long weekend stay. The staff was wonderful and welcoming, the room was nice with comfortable space, and the pool was a delight for our 9 year-old. The location was close to all the great food places we visited in Richmond, and conveniently located near the airport. We highly recommend this hotel with the great value it offers, and look forward to staying there again next time!
I would even give 6 stars if I could! Had the best experience here, mostly thanks to the front desk agent Dennis L.! I have stayed at a few Signatures and none of them had stand out staff like Dennis at the Vancouver Airport Richmond hotel. I had missed a flight connection so WestJet put me up with a hotel voucher and they recommended this hotel. Travelling with a young child in a stroller Dennis gave us a ground floor level suite and the suite was top notch! It was such a surprise walking into this modern, clean and large provincial suite. A truly amazing room and housekeeping had done an excellent job also. The location is not too bad either if you are looking to go for a walk on a sunny day, there’s even bunnies hopping around! We had a great stay, thanks again to Dennis who went above and beyond and was helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport hotel in Richmond!
