Elk + Avenue Hotel

The lobby area is really nice and the decorations are nice, but two outlets near the washroom did not work. The bed was very soft, which I liked. It's an older hotel, so I think they're trying to up its functionality. The placement of the hotel is great because it's close to the shops of Banff. I don't know if I'd stay here again admittedly.....like, maybe? If the price is cheap.

Stayed here for one night, upon getting to the hotel it was very modern and clean looking. You can tell it has been “renovated” from an older hotel.. for example, the rooms are super modern but then have a thermostat and a ceiling fan from like 30 years ago. Super deep and nice soaker tub in the room to have a relaxing bath in. They advertise having underground parking but only a 6’1 clearance which means only small cars will fit. Room was clean although it seemed there were long black hairs everywhere (tub, under blanket, on desk, on towels) probably from the maid that cleaned the room. The location was very close to many restaurants and shops, we walked everywhere from the hotel.

Quiet & clean with a great view from our room and uncrowded hot tub with a mountain view. Beds were a little soft and the rooms felt kind of cheaply decorated, but our stay was pleasant and the value was pretty good. The location was easily the best part though - right downtown and close to everything plus free parking.

Great location, right downtown. Staff was very friendly and the restaurants inside the hotel had good food. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The hotel advertises as environmentally friendly which is awesome too! Having a parking garage underneath the hotel worked out perfectly for us as well. Would definitely stay here again!

Room 251 has an excellent view of the a/c. Room was 28 degrees with thermostat set at 0 all day and window open. Sheets were itchy. Pillows were hard as rocks. Noise was definitely a thing even though it wasn't busy. However, after the best sleep of my life. They have a nice little coffee shop downstairs to keep you awake all day.
