Parliament Hill

I visited here 3 years ago during the pandemic, but I didn't visit the interior because the main building was under renovation. However, there are still a lot of monumental things around. Examples are the statues of people and the Centennial Flame in the middle of the plaza. Before I left, I took a picture of my mask with the Parliament buildings, hoping that a pandemic of this magnitude would never again befall the land.

We visited the House of Commons. It was worth every single bit. Great to know about the history of the building, the architecture and notable PMs. Our guide was funny and answered all the questions we had. It takes about 40 mins, but takes around 10 mins for the security check, so plan to come early. Also, plan in advance for the parking. Its very difficult to find a parking. We can take photos but no videos. Plan to book online as early as possible, since it books out pretty fast

It was an amazing experience to visit Parliament Hill and the rest of the historical buildings in the area.nnIt is Ottawa’s top landmark, showcasing stunning Gothic Revival architecture and rich Canadian history and it is more than just a tourist attraction—it’s a symbol of Canadian democracy and a showcase of national pride.

Parliament Hill was a great place to visit. Unfortunately due to construction we never got to see the center block and parliamentary library. I'm sure it will look great when everything is done.
