Secluded off from Riverside Road. Nice compound with lots of FREE parking. Building looks relatively new. Excellent protocol for Covid at the foyer. Staff is pleasant. Visitors need to change to the facilty's surgical masks upon entry and brown paper bags are provided for putting away our own mask. Clean inside and the staff seem pleasant interacting with the residents. Hair salon is impressive. Lots of windows everywhere. Surprised to see carpets in corridors of resident rooms, but they look clean, no stains.
Very impressed with the top quality staff and level of care; every effort is given to make this a great environment. The food is good, there is even a resident dog, there are plants and decorations that make this such an inviting place.
Just visited my father who has been at St.Patrick’s for about a year. Can not say enough nice things about this place. Friendly, kind staff, clean rooms, great atmosphere. There is clearly a mandate to make the residents’ quality of care/life at the center of what they do. My father is healthy and happy which is all a son could ask for.
My daughter has escaped from the Royal! A miracle has happened! She is now a resident at St. Pat's long-term care home. There is nothing to complain about this place. Management and staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to honestly care for the residents. My prayers have been answered. My daughter is happy. She no longer feels threatened like she did at the Royal. The food is excellent -- not like the slop they feed you at the Royal. I feel so sorry for the patients at the Royal and how they are treated and disrespected. The management and the high salaries they command at the Royal, for doing literally nothing for the patients, is shameful. The Health Minister for Ontario Sylvia Jones should be alerted, and a full investigation called for immediately!
Exceptionnal caring staff. However, staff needs more recognition and gratitude and higher salary to keep them at work. When staff is short, patients cannot receive regular care like showers, getting help to clean themselves after an accident, ...nThank you staff for doing the best you can!
