Went here yesterday with a friend for happy hour 3-7pm on weekdays and I was very pleasantly surprised and will be returning soon. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a nice ambiance. It is a little difficult to navigate in the corner though as the tables are close together so some people had difficulties moving in and out. The prices were quite reasonable and I liked that they had listed all the drinks available as well at the different price tiers $6, $9, $12 and $15. If you’re hungry, you’d need to order more than one dish per person as they’re quite small.nnFor drinks, we had a glass of white wine and a limoncello spritz. The spritz was quite strong but tasted very refreshing.nThe pizzetta cardinale was delicious - crust is very thin and crispy, flavour was good and cheese had a nice pull.nThe calamari had a very light batter and it was very soft and tender. However, I do wish it had been a tad crispier but I’d eat it again.nnI also got surprised with a dessert for my birthday and it was a really lovely way to wrap up the meal. I don’t know what it’s called but it had a very crispy pastry, lots of chocolate and hazelnut cream and essentially tasted like a very fancy and elevated ferrero rocher which I thoroughly enjoyed.nnLastly, our server was so lovely I wish I could remember her name! and took the time to explain all the drink options to us as we were unfamiliar with some of the names, always made sure our water was full and overall made the experience much more enjoyable. We were there from about 5:15-7pm seated by the window in the back on October 24 so if someone from the restaurant reads this and does remember who was serving that section at the time, please do give her a commendation!
This is my second time coming to Oretta. Couple friends and I went for brunch. The atmosphere and food all look really nice however the food, as I remembered it, is just alright. With the higher prices, you would hope the food would be more flavourful and the textures would be better.nnThe best part of the meal was having Alyssa as our server. She was so efficient and accommodating with everything we needed and always made sure our drinks were topped up. She was amazing.
We had a work outing at this restaurant and we truly enjoyed our experience at Oretta! The service was great, we had some specials between 3-7 pm and we enjoyed the selections. They were also able to make the drink that was not in the menu which was a nice personal touch on their behalf! The food was great, we all had different things and everyone enjoyed their plate. They also have a beautiful patio.
A fabulous and suave italien dining experience! The restaurant can fit any and all dietary requirements, and were very kind at accommodations. The drinks were delicious and the price of a bottle was not devastating! The dirty gin martini was filthy the way we like her to be! The food was decadent but also not overwhelming portions, the digestion track approves. Saw a birthday, some dates and gals who dine. Great spot when you wanna feel bougie and cared for but not overly pretentious. Our server Lauren was a delight and a cutie.
Great happy hour aperitivo until 7pm! They have lots of food items ranging in price from $6-15 for happy hour.nWe got the croquettes, fried artichoke, a pizza, and calamari. The server was kind and grated extra Parmesan on our pizza. Everything was freshly made and tasted good.nThe servers refilled our water multiple times even though it was busy, and gave a complimentary almond cookie with a candle for my birthday.nnInterior is very nice, with high ceilings. Washrooms are upstairs, there is also a large event space there.nnWill come back!
