My wife and I visited here in a Saturday noon. We waited for a bit to get seated as it was busy. We managed to get a seating inside.nnService was so fast that after we ordered, our appetizers went out in less than 10 minutes. That was the Calamari, Garlic bread and Meatballs. The Pasta then followed which are Pesto Cream Spaghetti and Rigatoni.nnEverything was delicious, and tasty. I really like the Calamari as it was perfect. Voating is not too thick and you get to taste the actual squid.nnPasta are also good. I didn't enjoyed it too much as I felt full because of the appetizers. But still it was good and pretty big serving too.nnHighly recommended for pasta lovers. As Sugo is a well known place, always expect that there will be a waiting list when you arrive.
First time at Sugo turned out to be a great experience! I think we were lucky to find seats without long wait times today! We ordered Pesto Spaghetti and Veal Parmesan for main course and a lovely Tiramisu as dessert, we loved them all! Staff were all nice and friendly specially Alex who helped us tonight. Well done Sugo team! Keep it up
Stepping into Sugo Italian feels like a trip to a classic Italian neighbourhood in New York, but right here at home. The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can tell a lot of care has gone into the design, including that fascinating wood oven! It's so cool that the owners have a special connection to it—using bricks from their old school is a quirky and unique touch that adds to the charm of the place.nnWe were lucky to have a fantastic server who was attentive, friendly, and really knew their stuff. The menu offers a great selection, and it was hard to choose with so many delicious-sounding options.nnWe ended up ordering a few different dishes to share, and we were not disappointed.nn* The Spaghetti Bolognese was a true classic. The sauce was rich and flavourful with a perfect balance of meat and sauce, and it was generously topped with cheese. A solid 9/10!nn* The Pesto Cream Spaghetti was another hit. The sauce was aromatic and velvety, clinging perfectly to the al dente pasta. Absolutely delicious and a definite 9/10.nn* The Margueretta Street Pizza was a little bit of a surprise. While the cheese and sauce were plentiful, the sauce was a bit on the sour side for my taste. Still, it was a solid 8/10.nn* However, the pizzas that truly stole the show were the Mama's Mushroom and the Vinny Massimo. The Mama's Mushroom with its delightful mix of mushrooms, garlic, thyme, and dollops of ricotta was absolutely divine—a perfect 10/10!nn* And the Vinny Massimo—with its pepperoni, mushrooms, jalapeños, and garlic—was hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the city. The slightly crispy pepperoni was a fantastic touch, adding a great texture. Another perfect 10/10!nnFinal ThoughtsnIf you're looking for a casual and delicious Italian meal, Sugo is a must-try. The food is incredible, the staff are wonderful, and the service is top-notch. Just remember that they don't take reservations, so it's first-come, first-seated. It’s the perfect spot to grab some friends and treat yourself to an amazing meal!
Absolutely echoing the thousands of other positive reviews about this place! I’d go back in a heartbeat whenever I’m craving their phenomenal pesto — it’s truly unforgettable. If they ever offered a non-breaded version of the chicken, I’d probably lose all self-control and keep coming back even more often.nnThe staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and the service was excellent. And don’t forget to say hi to Gary — the kindest souls you’ll probably ever meet.
Absolutely phenomenal experience. The service is so friendly and quick, we got a table and our food all in a timely manner. It’s a busy quaint atmosphere, feels very homely. The food is perfection. The meatball was tender and flavourful and the mozzarella sticks were cheesy and delicious. We got the pesto spaghetti and their rose sauce rigatoni. Both were amazing but the pesto was our favourite, it truly lives up to the hype it’s delectable. For dessert we got the tiramisu which was also perfectly delicious and creamy. Can’t wait for my next visit!
