Came here on a Friday night and there was quite a bit of a wait but overall had a good experience. The waiters were pretty on top of refills of drinks, food, napkins, and making sure the grill was clean. All of the food we ordered tasted very good but is comparable to similar restaurants in the area. The place was very well kept and clean.
I normally go to their Woodbine location, but decided to give this location a try. We made a reservation for 6 three weeks ahead of time, but ended up being 5 upon arrival. When telling this to the hostess, they explained that for 6 people, you normally get two grills but with 5 you only get one grill. Thought that was weird especially since we made a reservation, but whatever. The place itself is pretty maze-like. There's a lot of twists and turns, and they even split some larger tables into two and separate them with a plastic shield. Bathrooms are upstairs, and I didn't see an elevator or anything to make it more accessible maybe hidden in the back?. Ordering food is very quick and easy, but one grill for 5 people + 2 hour seating limit isn't very efficient. Especially when some of us were very large eaters... and the food items that come in tin foil sake clams, butter corn, salmon took up pretty much 1/3 of the grill already per item. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful though, and even offered us a bigger table when it was available, even though we had just started eating. Grateful for that. Pretty similar to the other location overall, but I do like the options at the Woodbine one more.
Long wait even with reservation but well worth it. Ordered all you can eat grill them food. As long as you know how to grill food to perfection and you have good appetite great will be even better, money well spent. Great service as well, very attentive! I'm coming back!!! Food: 5/5
Crazy busy place. Don't bother to try to walk in, the wait time is easily 2 hours. Use the online waiting list on Yelp to line up instead. They only allow reservations for group of 6 or more. Cash or debit, no credit card. 2 hours limited for dinner. Both food and services are excellent. Will be back again for the food.Food: 5/5
I’ve been at this location a couple times and they have great standards. We came in for diner and got seated immediately. Our waiter was ready to help with any questions, he kept our glasses full and table clean. He was on top of everything. The food itself is great, the meats are good quality and clean. We had a great time.
This weekend was my first time trying a Japanese BBA restaurant with friends and it was fantastic. Dinner menu is worth the price. All the food was very delicious and fresh. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was nice as well. Definitely looking forward to going back sometime in the future.
They offer takeout and dine-in. The process of getting a spot for dine-in is a fun, interesting experience. They don't do reservations, so you can join their Yelp waitlist. This location is very popular so during peak periods, you can expect to wait up to 2+ hours for seating. I would not recommend trying to do walk-in, as the table will never be guaranteed, and you'd be competing with several other groups. During my last visit, my table was ready earlier than expected, so they let me move down the waitlist until our ultimate arrival, and then wait for the next available table after. I really appreciated them doing this!! It was a kind gesture. The service is always really good. Very welcoming atmosphere, helpful servers; they kept an eye on our grill and offered to change it without us having to ask first. They gave us a little more than we ordered, but they didn't charge us extra, so I'm okay! Some of the meat cuts seemed small, but since it's AYCE, I liked that it was easier to go through, so that if I wanted a little bit more, I really could get just a bit more. They offered a discount if you paid in cash. Pricey compared to other spots, but its well worth treating yourself to once in a while. Vegetarian options: A section of their menu is dedicated to vegetables, but there aren't many non-meat proteins available. Parking: Located in a plaza with a large, shared parking lot. Dietary restrictions: They asked us about any allergies before we began our meal. The meat served also didn't look pre-seasoned or marinated, unless explicitly stated as so.
Best gyubee restaurant in Toronto. The meat is marinated better compared to the downtown locations. Staff is always friendly and checks up on you for more orders. Price has gotten more expensive but it's worth it. I would recommend the dinner all you can eat instead of lunch because it has way more options. Vegetarian options: The menu has mushrooms, corn, sweet potato, lettuce, zucchini, pineapple, cold tofu, bibimbap and cold noodles.
Wanted to try out Japanese food for so long. We took the dinner menu which was unlimited. Costs round 51 CAD. The meats all of them were really good especially the beef and the mutton. The chicken wings and thighs were not bad , but not that appetizing compared to the beef ones same goes for bibimbap. Seafood wasn't good at all imo. Crème Brulee was amazingggg, by far the best item on the menu. The service was really good, kept asking every 5 mins for the next order. The only downside is that we had to wait so long like literally 1-1.5 hrs due to the sheer amount of people that were eating and waiting in queue at that time and you can't call them through phone to make a reservation.
Had a great time here! Called in advance highly recommended to reserve a table for 12 people. They had given the table a 2 hour limit from when we were sat down. Food comes relatively fast, food is good quality, and grills are changed throughout your time cooking. Great interactive cooking experience with friends and family. I also ordered a 32 oz sapporo hence the higher bill per person. Great dinner options & dessert options. Some things to point out; cash & debit only, I also feel like they were very strict on the table time, but I get it as they are a very busy location.
