My Place Hotels

My husband and I stayed at My Place in Rapid City for over a month while waiting to buy a house. We had an absolute fantastic stay while here. They were very pet friendly which made my life a lot easier with a dog and a cat, very affordable to have them in the room with us. The prices are very reasonable for all that you get while staying at this location. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every need to include constantly working around our busy work schedules to get the room clean. We did not have a bad experience with any of the staff but there were a couple that stood out to us. Ashley was always very sweet and greeted us each time we came in, she also helped us coordinate our cleaning schedule and made it hassle free. Cheryl made us feel special by knowing our names and making sure we felt at home during our entire stay. Mike works nights at the hotel and he made sure my decaf coffee was made every morning without me having to ask and without him knowing that I can’t have full caffeinated coffee due to a heart condition that I have. These three are amazing employees and should be recognized as so because they really make staying here amazing and because of them if I have the option in the future will always choose My Place. The housekeeping staff was always very friendly and in a good mood. We appreciate all of these people going above and beyond customer service and providing a great experience for us.

The hotel is nice and new. The staff was courteous once we were able to get their attention. The ice maker in the room is convenient, but startlingly loud, so make sure you shut it off. I am giving two stars for the flippant way the staff did NOT handle the fact that we had no hot water for a shower in the morning. First they told us that we just needed to run the water longer. Then they said they had not received any other complaints. When we checked out, they told us they had, indeed, had a problem with the water in the room, but that it had been fixed. Obviously not, or we wouldn't be telling you about it! All that being said, if they work out the problems in the system, I would have no problem recommending them or staying there again. Unt then, I will stay at any of the other 4.hotels within a mile of them...

The perfect place to stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff + good rates with the "no frills" experience we were looking for, We will definitely be future customers.

I've been there twice, the first time the owner\manager met us before we got to the door. Rooms are very nice, comfortable beds and helpful staff. We also enjoyed the spectacular sunset from the fire pit.
