My Name Is Sushi

We recently moved into the neighbourhood and our hopes of finding a great local sushi restaurant one that compares to our old favourite from our old neighbourhood weren't very high. However, we just had our first takeaway experience at My Name Is Sushi, and I can definitely say we will be back! Despite our large order, we only sampled a small fraction of the extensive menu. The options to choose from were great honestly even a little intimidating, and every single item we ordered, from sunomono salad to spicy gyoza to rolls, were fresh and flavourful! When we arrived to pick up our order, the team was apologetic that it wasn't ready yet, but they worked hard to ensure we didn't have to wait long. The friendly staff, tasty food, and convenient location are huge draws and we look forward to our next visit!

Recently changed owners. Gyoza seemed like something you would get in a box from Costco. Got a salmon avocado roll for $8 with farmed salmon. California roll is mostly rice. Caterpillar roll was lacking flavour. Wasabi in a package and no ginger. If you want manufactured sushi but actually want to enjoy it go next door to Thrifty Foods.

3.75stars! A good experience. Points for offering a miso soup that is vegan friendly. Points for a clean and clutter- free establishment. Points for very speedy service. Points for friendly service over the phone. Next time we are in the neighbourhood we'll try something else.

Best Sushi in Victoria!!! I live in Sidney and we drive once a week out to Langford just for this food. Amazing food and service!!! Well worth the trip!

Sushi was absolutely insane, best one I’ve had in Victoria BC. Super tasty and the rolls are huge! The host was also super kind and lovely!!!

Best Sushi ! Whenever we come to Langford we stop for lunch. Great customer service and the rolls are always fresh and delicious! Today we got the crazy girl roll deep fried dynamite and the kamikaze roll

This review is not for the grab and go sushi in the coolers. The sushi prepared was amazing and had great portion sizes for the prices. When I first walked in I was worried the quality would be sub par due to it being a small location and offering grab and go sushi. Ive only had bad experiences with grab and go however I was pleasantly surprised! The customer service was amazing too. Now the grab and go sushi may be a different story however I did not try it so I cannot give a solid review for them.

A really great family run restaurant, you can tell they really care about taste, quality and presentation. I wish I took a photo, but it was to good we couldn’t wait! It’s mostly a take out place, but we were accommodated when we wanted to dine in. The lady running the front was just wonderful, she recommended the super dynamite roll and it was my favourite. Thank you for dinner!

The portion sizes for the nigiri! Omg! Been awhile since I’ve had such a generous portion. If you’re a sushi lover, this place is a must. You will not be disappointed. The staff was amazing on top of the great food. 100% recommend.

My favourite local sushi place. The sushi itself is great, and the family that runs it is super friendly. I get to chat with their little son sometimes, and he’s super cute and friendly too. :
