Incredible atmosphere that somehow manages to be both exciting and intimate, and like the food, in perfectly balanced servings. Amazed at the number of flavours and ingredients they are able to fit into a sushi roll without falling into the "westernized sizing" that so many similar establishments seemed to have adopted. Delicate, balanced, and satisfying without being a meal ender. For those who enjoy all the various food media these days, and have wanted to experiment without signing up for a large, unknown dish... the Tapas style and extremely affordable menu makes multiple visits not only a must, but a new, yet familiar experience with each visit. Attentive yet subdued service finishes the dish perfectly. Balance and thoughtfulness are the threads throughout which the entire experience is woven.

Really good place to get sushi and other Japanese dishes. It was a very busy night but they were able to accommodate us swiftly. Love the aburi! Service was outstanding and the food came quickly for us. Quite a variety of items on the menu that are moderately on a high price point but the quality is there. Definitely would come back.

Absolutely DYNAMITE! Fabulous taste, and great drinks. I never knew how good pesto could be on a sushi roll, but here we are. The Fish and Chip roll, the Victoria Secret roll, and the Pickle Me roll were my top three favourites. A bit pricey, but so very tasty. Take yourself there as a treat and enjoy every bite!

Great staff who were very attentive! But compared to the many other Japanese spots on the island, this was lackluster… drinks were alright but nothing special. The wild salmon roll spoke to me but in general the offerings were overpriced for what they turned out to be.

Nice taste of Japanese cousin. Got my team entertained and saved from hunger. The service is great, food is good - judge for yourself. Have I seen better sushi places - yes, but this one has good pricing, great element of presentation and my team loved it. So - recommended. The place is busy. You better come earlier around 5:00 pm.

Had a great meal and would highly recommend. Had the Aburi tapas which was beautifully presented and tasted great, also shared the karage. Ordered the cowboy and lucky strike rolls and were delighted by them. They seared the cowboy roll table side. Service was great and will definitely come back. Thank you

Passing by. Have eaten many kinds of sushi. For the price this place was good. One thing I noticed is they use a decent quantity of fish where other places use cheap imitation crab meat instead of the better-quality fish. Overall was satisfied with the food and service. Even tried the cowboy roll which was enjoyable.

Wonderful. Wow. This place comes highly recommended from family, friends, and strangers. It did not disappoint. The nigiri and sashimi was glorious. Top fan of: -hocate -sake -chutoro -hamachi We had the black Pearl roll which was also good. Omg. It was great! Sashimi cuts were generous for the cuts. Staff were all very friendly. Top experience here. I went for dinner last night and now debating it the next day for lunch. Can’t wait to come back.

This place is SOOOO good! We tried lots of tapa style rolls, sashimi, and other dishes and they were all so delicious. The price is more than reasonable for downtown Victoria as well. We'll definitely go back when we go back to Victoria!

Cute little spot for a quick bite and a cocktail menu. Looks like a good spot for a date night. I ended up ordering to go since there wasn't a table big enough for our party, but it was fresh and tastey. Coming back next time for a date night to try the cocktails!
