Sushi Matsuri

Outstanding sushi and service! All the salmon is super fresh sockeye — delicious. The spicy salmon cones are great, salmon avocado rolls delicious…everything was great. We lucked out with a table on the small patio out front across from a park with beautiful sequoia trees…wonderful setting. And the staff were so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Loved this place! The Philadelphia roll was very good! Along with the rainbow roll and dynamite roll. Staff were also wonderful! I will be coming back! We got the mango and green tea icecream at the end and figured out mixing them was really good!

This was really quite fantastic! The food was tasty, fresh and well-seasoned. The rolls were really tight and tasty, I was really impressed. On top of that the staff were so friendly, warm and inviting. I also really appreciated that foods that are gluten friendly and vegetarian are clearly identified throughout the menu or where modifications can be made - nice touch. Prices were fair as were their portions. I would highly recommend going here.

Went their for a lunch date with my 5 year old and the lunch bento boxes were great quality and value. Sashimi and rolls were fresh and tasty, so were other items and the prices very reasonable. The only downside here is the place is quite small and doesn't have much seating but the service and food makes up for it :Food: 5/5

Recently moved in the neighborhood, love their food so much! Both sushi and hot dishes! Service is always great, too I know why they have so many regular customers I already visited three times in a week! Guess I'll be one of the regulars too. Oh and I can't wait to bring my family when they visit me from East Coast who I believe had only farmed salmon in their entire life! ;

Very yummy sushi. A James Bay gem! Also, the service is amazing and they always make us feel so welcome and cherished - even for being new regulars who just moved to the area. So glad to have this place so close by to my house, my partner and I have incorporated it into our rotating date night spots. Cannot say enough good things about Sushi Matsuri and their staff.

As someone in the area, I've been going to Sushi Matsuri for years. Not only do I think the food has improved, but it is excellent. I will say the main dishes and rice meals are okay, but the sushi is exquisite. You can't go wrong ordering any of the sushi, but the nigiri in my opinion is the best on the menu. It is run by a lovely family and they are always kind and welcoming. I highly recommend you stop by, it will be more than worth your time.

We had a number of different sushi and it was all fresh, delicious and expertly prepared. The service was attentive and friendly. What a great little place!

My new favourite sushi place in the James Bay Area. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is amazingly friendly. Tons of beverage options and free green tea. Who does that?! It’s a great touch and very hospitable. Small restaurant but so so great. We tried most of their signature rolls and they were all fantastic.try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
