Awesome Japanese cuisine. We had a taste of salmon tempura appetizers and vegetarian udon. Helpful, kind staffs and free parking.

Been here twice in a span of 20 days, which is a little too soon for me. Within those two visits, I've both had great services and great food. That consistency is very valuable to me, which I usually give restaurants one visit where the food may not be as good that time. I may be in a disadvantage for points of view, but I did order two dinner Bento specials in a row. It is typical Japanese food fare, but the value is good for what you are getting, in my opinion. The menu is massive, which can be good or bad depending on your preferences. They have hot pot shabu shabu specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they also have featured Korean fried chicken on their menu on my most recent visit. Being very extremely picky, my complaint would be that the pork katsu batter was too flaky or overdone that it was very delicate on the pork and was coming off too easily. This was on the latest visit. However, still very consistent in flavour otherwise. The server is very lovely, we had the same server both visits. Despite having two tables that are groups, she was very careful in ensuring orders are delivered, and customers got their requests. I realize it's very tedious to keep handing mini plates to customers in tight corners, so props. I like the cart for delivering many orders, it just really helps the server a lot. The location may be far for some, but I recommend giving their establishment a visit! It does get busy at times, I suggest a reservation if you plan to come in a group.

Dined at this restaurant recently! Their food was great with a very affordable price! Try the Crazy Girl and the Crazy Boy! We also had the Bibimbap as well. It was a great visit!

The food and customer service was so amazing, they even gifted my kids origami at the end!

I worked here. The kitchin was quite small but clean and easy mood. and fresh ingridient and vegitables. And boss Yoo chef was kind and good manner attitude person. most of all roll and teryyaki tempura tastes was so nice. Enjoy it right now.

What a fantastic experience! This has to be the best sushi I've ever had. Fast service. Great staff. DELICIOUS food. Had a whole array of stuff and will absolutely be back for the ShabbuShabbu one night with friends. 11/10 would recommend.

Great food and prices, but I was mostly impressed by the servers’ kindness and patience. They were so welcoming and attentive, never rushing us to free the table AND they kept bringing lovely origami to my friend’s baby. It was such a simple and kind gesture, I can’t get over it.Food: 5/5

We have ordered take out a thousand times from sushi story but tonight we tried dine in for the first time ever and we were not disappointed! Super friendly staff, best sushi I've had in Victoria and lovely atmosphere. We will be back!Food: 5/5

my favourite sushi place!! placing online orders is convenient and easy, the food is always ready when i get there even if i’m a couple minutes early, and the staff is always very friendly. the food is delicious - i get the dynamite roll every time and it never fails to live up to my expectations. i’ve yet to dine in, but i’m sure it would be a great experience - the atmosphere is cozy, and the location makes it feel like you’ve discovered a special, secret spot! i love sushi story so much <3

Miso soup and spring rolls were warm, not hot. Sushi rice was underdone and tempura fillings were stale. Everything tasted ok, but batter was not crispy and we were disappointed at freshness and heat. Korean chicken was advertised as a bit spicy, but ended up being very spicy. We won’t be going back.
