Kasumi Sushi

Those guys probably do not know how sushi should look like. Terrible quality, I’m really in shock. Have never seen THIS bad sushi in my life. Unfortunately I’ve ordered through SkipTheDishes and didn’t have opportunity to return it. They fell apart, were not attractive, with unpleasant “ends” of the roll. Sashimi look like they took 1 piece of normal sashimi, cut it and then sell as 5 pieces. Poor thin pieces. Look at the pictures and make your own conclusions.

I grew up in Victoria and I have been going here for 10 years. It has been the best sushi I have ever had. I think Azuma sushi would be my second choice. Kasumi’s rice and steak sauce is by far the best and I will miss their spicy yam yam roll, spring rolls. Every time I go into kasumi they are hustling, they are always on the move to complete orders. I appreciate the years of tasty sushi, especially on a day I don’t want to cook, those are the best days. Thank you Annie and the fellow man who curates beautiful rolls. I am so grateful and so lucky to have got to experience your sushi.

Worst sushi EVER! The meat tuna, salmon, etc is the lowest grade possible. It tastes pickled and the texture made me want to literally throw up. The ginger is that gross kind that is died pink. I wished I could give them a minus star. It's worse then gas station sushi.

Not the best. The bento box was great and the sunomono salad and miso were good as well. The Kasumi maki-sushi for 2, not so much...the spicy tuna is pictured here, slimy and awful taste...not fresh at all. The sashimi and any of the fish in the rolls was not fresh, very slimy and had the feel that it had been in the freezer and thawed in a microwave . The rolls were sloppy and the waitress seemed exasperated. There will be no return trip for us.

Worst sushi restaurant. That’s all.

My experience was a poor one. I entered this restaurant at 6 PM on a Thursday, stood in the entrance, wasn't greeted for several minutes, there was even a sushi chef creating food on my left, right as you enter and he did not even acknowledge my presence, not look at me. A waitress popped out of a room in the back and led me to my table. There was only myself and another family in this entire small restaurant. It was another 5 to 10 minutes before water was served or my order was taken, several minutes before miso soup, What felt to be 20 to 30 minutes between ordering and the rest of my food arriving. This was not great, especially when staring at this shack that is definitely not up to electrical code, and it was just myself and another small family in the restaurant. The food was not horrible, I ordered a simple rice dish, so I'm not sure why it took so long. When I was done it took another 10 minutes for my bill to arrive. I waited for quite a bit for the waitress to come back with a payment terminal. I gave up waiting and took my bill to the front. The waitress was talking to another patron who had come in, been served and already finished their meal in the time that I had been there. Worst dining experience of my life.

Terrible service, called for a take out order and the woman picked up the phone and put it on the counter so she didn't have to take the call. When I called again she was incredibly rude while taking my order. The food was mediocre - the sashimi and tataki were cut paper thin, and the rolls were very small and bland, all I could taste was the vinegar in the rice. I used to love this place, it was a hidden treasure with low pricing and amazing food. Now it's just bleh and the waitress is very rude.

Good prices and wonderful taste it was prepared quickly for delivery as well. I’d recommend they pack the rolls less tightly in the containers though as I had four 8pcrolls packed in two containers which pushes some off the rolls into the wasabi and gingers and can muddy the flavour. Over all good and would order again.

Overpriced and under deliver. Taste is nothing overly amazing to match the cost. Time to re-evaluate your menu prices.

Do not order sushi from here. Poor service. Place is in disrepair inside and out. Too much vinigar in the sushi rice. Fish was suspect. Miso was bland than when you hit that clump that's not fully dissolved... And lastly gave both my wife and I upset stomach
