I purchased a sumac bottle. The co-worker actually grabbed it off the self for me. It says 6.99. I went to the cash and it said 7.99. So I was certain it was 6.99 and I went back and took this picture. And I showed it to the cash. She told me yeah I’m right, she knows about if items are labeled incorrectly under 15$ I could get it for free and to head to cash number 2 to get it for free.nnI go to cash 2, and they say it’s label for the cumin and I can’t get it for 6.99 and it’s 7.99. But I knew it was wrong. All of their sumac was on this price 6.99 label and there’s no actual price on the product.nnShe made me buy it, but I noticed that it took them very long to go find the actually label/price. When the two workers including the person who got it for me who was helping at cash number 2 came back they were speaking in Arabic and were holding some other product to scan. I understood there was no price tag/label for the sumac. I asked 3 workers at the store to locate the label for me, they all thought it was 6.99 as well. So it was in the wrong place and no price tag/label.nnI asked for the product for free cause they’re obliged by Quebec consumers protection and the two ladies didn’t want to give it. But all the other men that helped me said I was right.nnOne of the ladies is : DialannI tried waiting for the manager.nnMistakesn1. All sumac products placed in the wrong location.nn3. No visible price tag for the sumac.nnSo I am obliged to get it for free since it’s 15$ and they didn’t respect it.
I was in Montreal and stopped at Adonis to pick up three dozen fatayer from the bakery section to bring back to Toronto as a gift for my parents. I paid around $33–$35 for two dozen and about $13–$15 for the remaining dozen. The best before date clearly said November 21st, so I assumed everything was fresh.nnWhen I got back to Toronto and unpacked them, I was shocked to find major mold on the bottoms of the fatayer. Not a small spot—the bottoms were covered in mold, and the spinach had visible fuzz on it. The photos say it all.nnThis is completely unacceptable for something that still had days before the best-before date. And because I was already back in Toronto, I couldn’t even return to the store to deal with the situation in person.nnTo make matters worse, the staff serving me barely paid attention, were chatting with each other, and didn’t check what they were handing out. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now I’m out over $45 and all the food went straight into the garbage.nnReally disappointing experience from a store I normally trust when I’m in Montreal.nnUPDATE: I went back today and spoke with a manager, she refunded me.
Terrible grocery items sometimes:n1: don’t buy anything from Cedar, not one of their products is decent and we have tried too many!n2: they have items manufactured in 2020 the rice smelled musty and we had to throw it outn3: this is not a one time thing, we are usual customers who get a faulty product at every grocery run!
Worst customer service ever, everyone is haughty and rude acting like they work at Rolex store. Cashier thinks that they're are all queens and that they dont have to say Hi or thank you! They cant even hand you the invoice by the end of the transaction. They really need to teach their cashiers how to behave and be human not animals
I bought fish with my mother. Among these fish, one gave off a smell of rot. We are really disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would. As a reminder, selling rotten products is illegal and punishable by law.
