I really used to love this grocery store, and in many ways it still is great. But I've hit a bad streak: two separate cases of food poisoning in three months, both from their prepared meals. Since I don't eat much throughout the day, I'm fairly confident these meals were the culprits. The most recent offender was a tabouleh salad, and before that, a beef shawarma plate that transformed me into a human geyser and nearly sent me to the ER.nnI am not sure what explains this. Maybe they're cutting costs and—as other reviewers have noted, selling rotten produce that should have been incinerated I'm Lebanese too, so I get the hustle. Or perhaps there's some secret store policy requiring employees to high-five every bathroom surface before their shift. Whatever the cause, they need to fix this FAST, because oversight in food safety will ruin them and their reputation.
Love the hot ready-to-eat foods. Some of salads are super salty though, to the point that it's inedible. The fatouch salad dressing is ridiculously salty. We use one of the two containers and add extra oil. The moussaka was so salty, I had to spit out the mouthful immediately. Otherwise, the store has decent selection of common staples and fresh meats and seafood. I go very often. Staff is usually friendly and polite. Also, the nuts are so fresh. It is hard to find good macadamia nuts. They are always fresh!!
About two months ago, I bought rotten meat from Adonis Montreal. After that, I stopped shopping there completely. Today, I decided to walk in and give the place another chance — I didn’t even buy anything, but what I saw confirmed my concerns: rotten meat still being sold.nnThis isn’t just a one-time mistake — it’s clearly a pattern. It’s unacceptable and dangerous. Selling spoiled meat can lead to serious health issues, and it’s shocking to see this still happening.nn Photo attached as proofnI strongly warn others: do not buy meat or fish from this store unless you want to risk your health.
Free by law a taouk wrap because the price on screen are 2$ cheaper !!! Their ready to eat is expensive versus the portion received! The person touch the broom and I don't see him wash the hands!! I believe the bad review below now! Did someone notice they have more men employees than women?
