Maxi

Great for shopping however I’ve been noticing an increasing homeless population crowding in front of the main entrance to maxi. While they’re kind people they do disturb the peace and I’ve seen some hit cars with the shopping carts. Hard to recommend right now but usually a good store.

Staff is friendly. Organized. Always low price and it always have my favourite beer: Creemore Lager. Fresh fruits and vegetables. I can’t complain!

1 cash being opened at 10.30am on Sunday, 9 people in the line practically not moving, only 1 client in the self served cash area and 2 cashiers counting items in clients ' baskets to make sure it's not more than 20. We were together with my husband and could perfectly use 2 self served cashes, as we had less than 30 items. But the firm answer from both ladies was NO, go wait 30 minutes in the only available line. No manager around. Bravo, Maxi! Why put 2 people to watch clients instead of opening a 2nd cash?

I have in my previous reviews have been a big critic of maxi in general,with the exception of good prices in general.Here we have the best maxi in Quebec.No it’s not a maxi plus but this is store is very clean and shelves are always well stocked.How I know this is because I worked in several maxi stores.The reason is simple.The store is five minutes from the airport.Why does this matter?The president of Provigo,maxi,and the late loblaws always makes a point to make a tour of this store because of location.Near the airport.The director and managers are always at there best for good reason.It truly was a store where the employees did take pride in there job,and they are well staffed, not like my previous reviews of other stores…I hope this explains why there is such a difference in the service and quality of other stores I have reviewed with such negativity.

I did my job as a conscientious shopper to ask that certain things were price matched and again one of my items were left out. It cost me an additional 7 dollars on groceries that are already out priced to the avg person!
