Supermarché Akhavan

Wonderful oriental Iranian supermarket! It’s very clean and has a big variety of products of all types, including meat, diary products, fruits and vegetables, sweets, bakery and a huge variate of spices! Everything looks and smells so good! They also have some traditional dishes vaisselle, religious stuff and so many other things. Amazing friendly customer service, parking and lots of special prices. I was very impressed with this supermarket and it felt a bit like visiting Middle East : Thank you so much!

Akhavan on Saint Jacques is a fantastic store with a wide variety of products. You can find everything from spices, nuts, fruits, vegetables, meat, and cheese to coffee and tea. Their sweets and cookies are my personal favorite! The employees are always friendly and welcoming, making shopping a pleasant experience. Although I miss the location on Sherbrooke Street, I still enjoy visiting the current store. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality Iranian products! And not only Iranian...

Excellent!!! Their marinated meat for bbq is a complete hit every single time!!! Their selection of nuts, olives, tzatziki, fresh cheeses like ricotta, feta, etc is the best in town. Vegetables, fruits and spices are amazing as well.nnAnd the finisher: right next to it they have this little shop/restaurant where you can buy freshly cooked kebabs, rice, sandwich and more, SO tasty, fresh, and unbearable prices

Very disappointing and unfriendly experience – not family-friendly at all:nnAs a family, we’ve visited this grocery store a few times, but our last visit left us completely shocked. One of their young staff members was extremely rude to my 3-year-old son for simply running around. When my wife politely raised her concern, the staff member responded with more disrespect—this time toward her.nnI approached the manager hoping for a reasonable conversation, but unfortunately, he fully supported the staff’s poor behavior. Instead of listening, the manager became aggressive and even accused my son of misbehaving, which wasn’t true. My son was just being a playful toddler.nnThe manager spoke to my family and me in an arrogant and unpleasant manner. This is the first time in Canada we’ve felt so unwelcome in a store. In every other Canadian store we’ve been to, staff have always smiled at our little one and created a warm environment. But that day, both the staff and manager at this store made us feel terrible—so much so that my wife and son were in tears.nnThis was a heartbreaking experience for us. I would not recommend this grocery store—especially if you have children or expect respectful customer service.

Super friendly. Well organized. Wide range of products. Great baklava. Very fresh nuts. The feta cheeses are well priced and very tasty. Some things are a little bit more expensive but it’s up to you to decide.
