Very nice place to stay, close to everything. The receptionist was extremely welcoming and helpful. Rooms are spacious with a queen size bed (firm mattress), kitchenette and hot tub. Heated outside pool, jacuzzi and sauna are also available to guests which was great. All in all a very good experience!

Decor is dated but rooms are big & cozy. The pool & hot tub were a great add-on. We will come back.

Although my review isn't all positive, it is really important for me to start my description by saying this is a beautiful hotel. It was built in 1940, according to their information, and then renovated and expanded in the 1970s. The rooms are pretty large compared to newer hotels. The washrooms that everybody mentions are very nice. The separate shower is big enough even for a larger person. The two person Jacuzzi is really nice after a long day spent enjoying the outdoors, and it truly does fit two adults very comfortably. The staff are all really very nice, especially Elizabeth at the front desk who was always very helpful. Jennifer was also great at check out.
We had booked this room with the expectation of it looking like the pictures that they have on their website. A double size bed and a double size murphy bed. It has a curtain that separates the two so that you have some privacy from the other people. When we got there we were given a room with two queen beds. When I went to ask about this they were very quick to move us to the other type of room that we had originally wanted. They told me that rooms 105 and 205 are the only two that have the two queen beds. The rest are all the same with a double bed and a murphy bed. They all have the double Jacuzzi and fireplace. The room with the two full beds has a nicer sightline to the fireplace and television from both beds, but we wanted the bit of privacy that the curtain affords.
Regarding the fireplace, it is of note that you can only use a firelog that they supply you with. They last approximately 1.5 hrs and you can buy more from them. I was looking forward to a real fire, but this was nice.
The first room we were in was missing lights in some of the lamps and ceiling fixtures. We didn't mind, but it seemed strange. The second room we were put in was also missing lightbulbs. Again it was ok, just strange. That room also was missing an extra roll of toilet paper, the firelogs, matches, any extra pillows or blankets. Also when working the TV, you need two remotes. One to turn on the TV and a second to change channels and adjust the volume. We were missing the second one until they ran one up to us and then made sure it worked. The staff was very quick to apologize and replace the missing stuff.
The mattresses are very firm, and do not have a foam topper, and the pillows aren't very fluffy. That was the same in the two rooms we had.
They have an outdoor hot tub, a heated pool (88 F), and a steam room with eucalyptus. Other than the puddle at the interior entrance of the steam room, and the fact that the hot tub jets didn't work, they were all very enjoyable. The ambiance was really nice, especially with the snow falling. The lights in the garden along the pathway were lovely with their toppers of fluffy snow. We were the only ones enjoying the water that night, and it was great. Highly recommend that you try them! Remember to bring water shoes or flip flops to get back and forth from the steam room, the pool, and the hot tub.
If you are worried that your French may not be up to communicating in this predominately French region, please don't. Everywhere we went they spoke enough English to communicate well with us. Everyone was very friendly.
The mountain and the surrounding area is beautiful. The skiing and tubing were great! The ski school was top notch. Shout out to Vincent, our son's snowboarding instructor!
It's all free parking at the mountain but show up early because it fills up quickly.
In closing, the ambiance, the outdoor pool area, the relaxing bathroom, the proximity to the ski hills (less than a 5 minute drive), and the friendly staff more than make up for the slightly dated hotel, and the hard beds. I would recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back again to enjoy the mountain!

Rooms are great, no carpet at all. Bed is super comfy, there's even a fireplace! Location is spot on.
