I had an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The Filipino staff, especially Manager Heidi, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, making me feel right at home. Rica and Valena were also fantastic—friendly, efficient, and always ready to assist with a smile. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone looking for a top-notch stay with outstanding service. Five stars all the way!
We recently stayed at this hotel during our wedding weekend with the rest of our guests. The hotel was beautiful, bright and always clean. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. Special thank you to Marissa at the front desk who ensured we could have an early check in to our room for the start of our stay. They went out of the their to add extra special touches to our stay for our wedding. The location was perfect and all the kids loved the pool and waterslide. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.
The hotel as a whole was very clean and modern. The staff definitely did a great job making sure everything was in tip-top shape. The room itself was also clean and modern; although a bit smaller than expected. The bed was very comfortable as well.nThe staff were all very friendly... keep up the great work!nThere's not much within a close walking distance. However, there's lots within a 10 minute drive. The area seems safe from my experience.nAs for the breakfast- you do have to pay extra to get vouchers for the restaurant. The food there is good, but if I was to go here again, I would skip on that and get breakfast elsewhere. Since it is a restaurant, you do have waitresses, and they make sure to let you know that gratuity is not included. So then you're put in an awkward spot where you feel like you have to tip, but you have to tip with cash and spend more on your breakfast overall. The moral of the story- skip on the vouchers and go to tims or something for breakfast.
We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary South Conference Centre from August 14 to 19, 2024. Overall, our experience was a mixed bag. The staff were polite, but the service felt lackluster. For instance, the front desk seemed a bit overwhelmed at times, with two staff members often attending to just one guest instead of splitting up to help more efficiently.nnThe room was clean and comfortable, though nothing to write home about. Like many hotels, the noise from the hallway was an issue. We had late nights due to events and, despite the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, the cleaning staff were quite loud outside our door, which wasn’t ideal. The other guests in the hotel were also fairly noisy.nnWe dined at the hotel’s restaurant once, and while the food was tasty, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was on a personal call with an earbud in for the first 10 minutes of our visit, which felt unprofessional. The food was good but a bit pricey for daily dining. They also did not have any 0% alcohol beer available.nnOne of the main drawbacks of this hotel is its location. It’s quite isolated, with nothing within walking distance and a bit of a maze to get in and out of the property. We usually stay closer to the airport when visiting Calgary but decided to try something different this time. Unfortunately, the location was a major inconvenience, especially with the ongoing roadwork nearby.nnOn the upside, the hotel wasn’t overrun with families and kids, so we had the pool and gym almost entirely to ourselves on weekday mornings, which was a nice perk.nnOverall, while we appreciated the quiet amenities, the location and service didn’t live up to the premium price we paid. We’ll likely return to our usual airport-area hotels in the future.
This hotel is great. Super clean and pretty modern. Staff is good free breakfast and kids pizza. Too bad pacing is a horrible food joint though but that doesn't have to do with the hotel really.nnThis is one of my favorite hotels I've been to in a while. The room was very large. Had separate tg for the couch area vs. The king bed area.
