Hopefully you will get the pleasure of dealing with Preet “the prince” when you check in.nWhat a great guy, top notch service.nKamal, although very busy with renovations always has time for his guests.nI needed a hand with my luggage and without asking Clint offered to carry it to my room without missing a beat. Always a hello and a smile from the staff at the counter.nThe room was bright, clean and warm. My stay was quiet which was a huge change from the paper thin walls at the last hotel.nOne of the many bonus features of this hotel is the incredible view of Calgary and the mountains.nIt is by far Calgary’s best value inn, Highly recommended.

I originally gave them 4 stars because I believed they were trying to improve. But upon checkout, I received an unwelcome surprise:nWhen I checked in, I asked if I could stay an extra night for the same price. The clerk agreed, but the invoice was for $20 more for the second night. The clerk promised to adjust it when I checked out. This was not done. I later called the hotel, and they flatly refused to do so. Now they get 2 stars.nnThe room was acceptable, but I have a few complaints. The room was cold and it did not seem to respond to the thermostat being turned up. The coffee maker was a complete mess and did not work at all. There were no facecloths in the room, and only hand towels. There was no remote for the TV, but they got me one.nI was promised the rate of the second night would be the same as the first night, but they charged me a higher price for the second night. I have yet to have this issue resolved.

I wasn't keen on this place a couple years ago when I stayed here while the place was under construction, but I decided to give them another try.nThis is my second stay in just under 3 weeks.nBoth times I was given a room upgrade and the two different dudes at the front desk were super friendly and welcoming.nThe upgrades to the building are still ongoing, but at least you don't have to walk through an active construction site to get to your room.nThis is definitely a budget hotel reflected by the price but I have no complaints and will stay again.

Can't believe how much this place has improved since the new ownership in January. Front desk staff is incredible. The cleaners and maintenance staff are always happy to help with special requests. It's clean comfortable and affordable. Ecmven the management and owners are super friendly and willing to help. The manager literally gave me the keys to his car when my truck wouldn't start to ensure my kids git to school without me asking. I only asked for a boost and he replied with. Where are you going.... I said: kids to school to which he said. It's too cold....my car is already warm,here, take my car.

I recently stayed at The emerald hotel and had a fantastic experience. The check-in was smooth, and my room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful balcony view. The location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and attentive, and there was lots of restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall, it was great value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant stay.
