Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown

Not recommended for group bookings! We traveled with a group of 26, and from the date of booking 6 months in advance to the day we checked out, we had endless problems. Our reservation was changed, partly canceled, extra rooms were added, credit cards were mixed up, people were charged more than we were quoted….etc, etc. On top of that, the hotel had one functioning elevator on a fully-booked long weekend. Rooms were lovely, hotel staff were very friendly and the location is great. But we will never book into a Hilton again.

This is a good hotel. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms are comfortable and there is secure underground parking.nnThe location is good for walking to various restaurants, shopping or tourist areas, however is it near a Drop-in Centre which supports vulnerable adults, homeless, recovering addicts etc. At night there were people using the restroom, sleeping and doing other potentially illegal activities, much like you would see in any bigger city. The hotel staff tried their hardest to make it comfortable for guests with younger kids, but they can only do so much.nnThis location is also near train tracks and the dinging from the train occurred all night long and the rooms weren’t the quietest. Again this is all stuff you experience in a city and I am used to it, but if you’re looking for a quiet stay, this is not the location.nnOverall 4 out of 5 stars and I would return.

The room was fine, super great location to go to the game. Alot of addicts in the area, just be prepared as that is life downtown. Lounge sucks if you want food or service. We sat for 45 minutes with only 20 people and 2 staff, the tables had dirty dishes they never cleared, rude when asking for a menu, or a drink they just don't care. I guess good help is not always easy to get.

My stay here was wonderful. Well accommodated, secure parking, friendly/helpful staff; all conveniently located in a bustling and exciting part of the city. Walking distance from nightlife, grocery, entertainment, and the Saddledome. Concierge called me a taxi and ensured I got back into the hotel safely after hours. I would absolutely stay here again! Had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Calgary Downtown! The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to downtown, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. All the amenities are easily accessible, and the on-site restaurants offer great dining options. Excellent service from the staff as well. Highly recommend for both business and leisure stays!
