Holiday Inn Calgary Macleod Trail South

We stayed here for three nights and got a great deal. The price was wonderful and budget friendly.nnThe hotel does need some upgrades, carpets and curtains were stained and quite aged, the paint on the shower floor was chipped and scratched up. Regardless, the beds were quite comfortable and very clean. Room service ladies were very friendly and always there when we needed something.nnOverall the rooms in this hotel could use some renos however it was not a bad place at all in terms of cleanliness and price. You get what you pay for in this case. If you're just looking for a place to sleep and don't plan on spending much time in your hotel room and don't want to pay much-then I would say this is the place for you.nnPlenty of parking, front desk staff were also helpful.

Made a quick trip to Calgary with some friends and this hotel had good reviews and was within a friendly budget. The rooms we’re cleaned daily and they even organized some stuff!nnRuksha and a gentleman which I haven’t got his name but he was on duty during nights were both very helpful and friendly!nnThis hotel is conveniently very close to drive to downtown and other areas. Location is great! Thank you again!

I paid a very low price for the hotel room which made me happy and I hardly get happy about anything.nRooms are not fancy but decent, functional and practical, which I like.nTheres a smart tv, a Keurig coffee maker, fridge, microwave and hair dryer. Oh yeah, there is a free laundry rm so no need to put quarters and such into the machines.nAlmost forgot to mention: NO bugs.nI also love that about this place because otherwise I would never stay here.nIn conclusion I recommend this place for whoever is reading this, especially the people that like functional, practical and decent rooms.

Just reviewing for families like us. The pool is too cold for young children with no stairs, shallow area or hot tub. No float toys like shown in photos. It's really close to a train that you can hear if you're a light sleeper. Not clean- dark hairs all over my bed. No bath stopper, shampoo or conditioner. Paint chipping into bath. Very claustrophobic low ceiling bathroom with no fan. Fingerprints on everything. Very run down and falling apart. Unfortunately do not recommend and we are very easily impressed by hotels! Don't want to do a negative review but we were very unimpressed with our stay- even for a budget $117 per night stay we wished we had spent $20 more to not have such a bad experience
