Perfect location for the Buffalo marathon. Beautiful pool and spa. Free hot breakfast with plenty of choices. Coffee and tea all day. Our room is very comfortable and quiet. One of the nicest Hampton Inns we have stayed in.
The location was great for walking to bars and restaurants. No real shopping in walking distance. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious but not enough towels in bathroom. Called housekeeping for more, but never got any. Very frustrating. Hallways were dirty. The Chocolate Bar is now out of business but the website still advertises it, it’s still on the app and the sign in the lobby points to the former location so there’s nothing to indicate ahead of time that it’s closed. Very disappointing. Breakfast served until 10 but no one mentioned that so we missed it.
First stay in Buffalo. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool looked nice but the hot tub was shut down. The lobby was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The room was spacious and good amenities. The pillows were far too soft and there is no fan in the bathroom which seemed strange.nThere was a nice selection of food for breakfast.
Prior to booking this room we called and were told by Aurora that the hot tub was being repaired and would be open during our stay. We were very disappointed to find out that was not the case. The pool is freezing cold so that wasn’t very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and all working very hard to try to keep up with the mess left behind by guests. Tia in the breakfast area is amazing and deserves a raise. I was surprised to see so many people leaving their trash and destroying the breakfast bar. She remained professional and friendly while working hard to keep up with everything. Overall it’s a decent hotel but I wouldn’t say it exceeds any other hotel I’ve ever been to. The staff here however are awesome. Management is lucky to have such great people working for them.
The room, common areas and local staff were nice. If you are staying here because of the pool and/or hot tub I would recommend you verify it's open and working.nnThe hot tub was closed during our stay with no warning or notice. It was too late to stay somewhere else by the time we went to use the hot tub in the evening and realized it wasn't working. I know this may seem trivial to some but it was the main reason we spent extra on a hotel with a hot tub and pool. We were looking for a relaxing weekend away from home and during a cold Buffalo winter weekend sitting in the hot tub and pool with a cold drink seemed very nice. We were not able to do this. The pool was also cold and we were unable to use it for more than 10 or 15 minutes. We could have spent less than half at a different hotel with no pool or hot tub and had a better experience rather than the disappointing experience we had here.nnReaching out to customer service resulted in an insulting refund amount and no true resolution. I expected more out of a name brand hotel group.
