Friendly staff, really wide selection, online pick up orders are fulfilled with a very prompt turn around. Have only purchased Pokemon TCG to date here but prices are fair compared to some other gaming and card stores in the city who have unfairly skyrocketed their prices lately and driven customers away

On the outskirts of uptown Toronto you'll find a mecca of gamers delight. Having driven pass the building 1000s of times i was surprised that the comic books in my time was replaced by a myriad of game cards and daily and weekly gamer's tournaments.nThe Hairy Tarantula was founded by Leon in 1992 and grew like his interesting beard into a force that beckons adventurous minds that like to learn and challenge other gamers.nAll of the staff that I meet were friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable.

When we visit my in laws in Toronto, we always make a stop by The Hairy Tarantula! The staff are friendly and amazing with my boys. Played our first Pokémon TCG card tournament here and had a blast! Thanks and see you again soon!!

Visit the place last week. Great place for those who loves tabletop games, cards game. They provide ample spaces. Good ambience. Lots of stuff for browsing or to grab for. Ill definitely visit it again before going back to Malaysia.

Review for new location 4*nnI was surprised to find this new location completely by accident on Yonge just in between of Lawrence and York Mills. I told the staff about my past experiences and they were quite friendly and responsive to what I told them. They told me this would never happen again and were great in helping me find new product to check out. I ended up buying a couple packs of the new masters set. Overall this location is a lot brighter and bigger and it looks a lot cleaner; albeit a little disorganized because of just having consolidated all locations into this one. Overall a good experience and I’m happy to give a better rating as a result. Thanks to Ben for his understanding about my previously bad experience and helping me find something cool.nnReview for North Location closed 1*nnDirty, dusty, dark, expensive singles and terrible service round out this store's offerings. I have caught the rude staff mapping booster boxes twice and both times they lied to my face as they denied it. Mapping essentially uses an algorithm to determine which packs in a booster box have good cards. They then open those packs to sell the high value cards as singles and sell the rest of the packs with cheap cards in them to the unknowing public. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs unless you are completely out of options.
