Lacks so many things to list. One, while on treadmills up or downstairs, you've got a strained neck by the time your workout is done just because of the position the TVs are in, right above treadmills. Second, the TV channels are all set on 3 sports or news channels ONLY. Other locations have a variety of channels to watch while working out. Third, the studio has a terrible design where any member closest to the door to the workout area, can hear the loud noise. ..imagine doing yoga with that next to you. The instructors are also not positioned in middle where all members in studio can see them properly. Fourth, this place needs better accessibility rather than forced parking underground or going through the Bay. Fifth, wifi is garbage. Worst of the worst.

I left good life a month ago and joined LA fitness. I was a loyal customer to goodlife since last 1 year and 4 months. When I moved from Kitchener to Mississauga. I went to this square one location for my membership transfer from Kitchener to over here. They told me that last year you enrolled in the promotion so you have to pay $200 extra and your charges will also get the increase (around $27 with tax bi-weekly). I don't mind $27 but $200 (plus tax) again even I was their customer for more than 1 year. I told them this is not fair. Then I asked what is a scheme for new customer and it was all same so there is no difference between me and new customer. Place was very small and cogested. I joined LA fitness with $26 monthly and much better than good life gym. When I went over there to cancel my membership staff didn't ask me any question that why you are living it's like they just don't care at all. Wors experience ever. I loved goodlife of Kitchener but over here it's like they don't value their customers. If you want to do business like this then you are going to lose your customers. I know you have a ​brand name but too much ego is not good for anyone. My friend also joined with me in LA fitness. This is how you lost two customer.

Only gone 3x but here is what I have observed: Only 3 squat racks, during peak hours, it was a nightmare to get one. I'll find time during non-peak to get in. I didn't feel pressure on the membership at all, I think the guy dealing with me realized I was going to commit regardless and didn't push for me for anything. There is a trainer who works there Victor? (black guy) who is ALWAYS putting plates back where they belong. Can we get a few more Victor's please? I've seen a few trainers putting weights back when working with clients, tell your clients to put their own damn weights away. Otherwise you end up with members who don't do it and you need more Victors. The gym does NOT smell. I do get reception there, but I do NOT try to stream music or anything. The changing room is meh, the lockers are little (Junior high?) but I have found them to be clean. (I work in health care and sanitation is very important for me). The steam room is large, which to me is a plus. The showers are stalls, also a plus. They have dispensers in them (I wouldn't use them) but to me that is nice that it's provided. Overall yes on it, but not during peak time unless you like it being really busy.

It's secluded but busy. But not as crowded as heartland location! Given its basement location, there is zero reception in there. The gym is fairly clean (I always see people cleaning in the morning). In terms of the equipment, this gym can definitely use some upgrading. If not for convenience I wouldn't go here.. ☺

Men hog the leg press and never take off the weights. I can't lift all that. Maybe the staff can do that. Needs a serious reno. I have been to the goodlife in Burlington mall and it's like night and day.
