Our Story
Distinctive Lighting Concepts began in 1994 as a small lighting business located in Elmwood Kitchens’ St. Catharines showroom. From this location we have developed a solid client base and a reputation for offering unique lighting alternatives.
In 2016 we moved to a new location on Scott Street West. We are able to display many new and exciting light fixtures and also include home accessories in this easy to find location. Our website offers on line shopping and the opportunity to connect with the store for any questions our clients may have.
We strive to offer our customers unique selections and superior service as we continue to be Niagara’s finest lighting showroom.
Our Staff
DLC is a dynamic company with an experienced and enthusiastic staff to back it up. Jess and Jenny Howlett have been looking after customers lighting needs for over 20 years. Jess is certified by the Illuminating Engineering Society and is a qualified electrician able to answer all of his customer’s technical questions. Jenny is the showroom manager, with flair and talent to know exactly which lights the client is looking for, she also trains the rest of the staff to offer the same attention to detail.
All staff members are constantly upgrading their skills and are always seeking new and innovative products to offer to our customers.
You will find our staff to be friendly, dedicated and knowledgeable whether they are helping you select fixtures, design your lighting layout or solve your lighting problems.

Our Showroom
Located at 40 Scott Street West, Unit 1A in St. Catharines, our showroom is open Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm. The showroom is lit with hundred’s of light fixtures and decorated with beautiful accessories for every room in your house.
