Discount Car & Truck Rentals

Went there a couple of weeks ago as this is the best place to get a deal on a truck. Rented a 16ft truck for $39.99 with unlimited kms. Best deal by far considering other offers start at $29.99 and add a per km charge of .49 min. Service was great. Staff were friendly. I don't have any complaints other than their computer system is sometimes slow. Not a big deal at all. Go to discount for your truck. Don't gamble with U-Haul or the others with per km charges. Not worth it.

Horrible experience. First car delivered was supposed to be an SUV. They delivered a 4 door sedan. To make matters worse, the windshield was cracked the entire length from left to right. Lady who delivered said "we'll have to replace this car immediately." Three days later I had to call to see if they had a replacement. Lady who delivered turned out to be the manager and was on holiday. In a blinding blizzard that evening I had to drive to their Weber Street location to get the replacement car from the most distant corner of Waterloo. Upon arrival I mentioned that I had neglected to 'top up' the gas even though I had only consumed $14 of fuel as it turned out. The gentleman working that evening told me I should go fill up the fuel because they charge $2.50/ litre. So after driving in a blizzard to return their damaged vehicle I had to get back in the same vehicle and find a gas station. I was told by the body shop people after I returned the 2nd vehicle where my SUV was fixed that DISCOUNT was 'going to make it up to me'. Several weeks later I've not heard anything from DISCOUNT Kitchener office on Weber St. My advice to anyone looking to rent a vehicle is to "avoid DISCOUNT completely." Wayne from WATERLOO
