The best date square you will ever have, and an amazing selections of some of the most flavourful salads, warm sandwiches, all in a neighbourhood treasure, or the locals come and go all day with their takeout orders. It’s also a garden centre if you can believe it. it is one of the more improbable places you will find. There is little to no indoor dining and only a few outdoor tables, but it is on some beautiful, walking routes along the strait of Juan de Fuca or up through Oak Bay.

The coffee is decent, the service is quick, and the shop itself is charming and in a good location. All of the baked goods and the breakfast foods that I have tried are very good. The food items change daily but there always seems to be a good variety of sweet and savoury options that are made fresh. The prices for me are a little high and are not listed for most items.

I have been visiting the demi tasse for years and i have always felt welcomed and comfortable with friendly staff. I can understand that at lunch time it may be a bit busy for the staff but it is not an excuse for the staff operating the cash and serving food to be short spoken, rude and not friendly to the point of no eye contact. Felt very uncomfortable with their service and in the surrounding environment. Hopefully this review will help management get back on track again with quality friendly pleasant welcoming customer service.

The baking here is excellent -the coffee is average . The prices are very inflated though - even in these times of inflation ! There are almost no prices posted for anything - why is that? Very disrespectful practice - you have to guess or ask .

Great neighbourhood cafe in the heart of Oak Bay. Fresh food at his finest. Great on the go pizza as well as pasties. Their coffee selection is quite nice for a neighbourhood centred fresh experience. Their green touch is quite nice as well. Highly recommend.

Is long time ago. When I stayed Language School , KGIC ,Victoria. I like visiting this Demitasse coffee shop. Here have beautiful Graden and Fresh air. I also like this area. Recommend cappuccino coffee and dessert!!!!! Delicious. 24Nov, 2014. ELin.

Great coffe, a wide range of already prepared foods to choose from! Lots of yummy sweet treats too! Can also pick up some frozen dishes to take home and bake yourself! Edit: Seriously, every time I go here, I'm more impressed! Best latte I've come across in Victoria! And, I find my normally meat-eating self totally enticed by their vegetarian options! Food is excellent! Lots of different flavours and they have a very good variety of stuff. Drinks are made well as well. The pricing might be on the higher side considering the size of the portions but I’m one of those people who don’t mind spending a buck or two more for good food. My only issue with this place is the attitude of some of the staff. Don’t get me wrong, some of the girls that work there have EXCELLENT customer service skills, but then there’s some, particularly this one person, who would be better off in the back kitchen maybe. Doesn’t smile, doesn’t say hello, when you order something, doesn’t give a response back. When you say thank you, she either just ignores you or just stares at you. Makes me feel like I’m asking her for some free food. Every time I walk outta this nice cafe, I’m walking out in anger/frustration, which is not a good experience. But again, the food is 10/10, no doubt!

Whoever decided to change up the twice baked croissants made a HUUUUGE MISTAKE. Bring back the old recipe or else!... For this reason I give 4/5 stars otherwise I’d give 6/5. PS- the Kale Caesar with roasted potatoes is the bomb.
