I had to kill time while my car got fixed at the gas station nearby I live in the area I haven't been here since this was a Starbucks the coffee was fine it was affordable nothing too special. But there's a air pretense here so I won't be coming back.
Converted Starbucks. Decent Americano and very good lentil wrap. Don't feel rushed in the place. In Fairfield plaza.Food: 4/5
The barista was very nice, but the food and drink were pretty bad. For starters, the food case was sparse, and the prices were quite high for very small portions of premade and plastic-wrapped items, even in our inflated world. For that price I'd expect much better and fresher choices. My breakfast bun was at least a day old, made with processed cheese and cheap packaged ham, and microwaved instead of grilled so the English muffin was gummy and damp. The espresso in my mocha was bitter, and the premade chocolate milk was outdated and funky, leaving it undrinkable. Maybe a refrigeration problem? I'm happy to support local small business, but when your entire business is food and drink, you need to do them right or people will just stop coming. Having driven away before trying my purchases, I tried to call the business to tell them about the milk, but the business has no listed phone number. If they don't start taking food quality much more seriously, I doubt that this business will still be there next year. You build a food business with superior product that brings your patrons back, not with margins from inferior ingredients and smaller portions that make your patrons shop elsewhere. The only way I'd choose to give Gonzales Coffee another chance would be after they announced a major overhaul of their offerings, practices and values. For the record, I left a 25% tip as the food quality was not the barista's fault.
First time having coffee there. Airy and clean. Good coffee.
Prompt friendly service, the best coffee in town and smiling faces to greet you. What more could you ask for?
I buy coffee out almost daily, so I like to try places new to me. Unfortunately, this wasn't a positive experience. Firstly, it was expensive for the quality. Second, the actual product was not good. I ordered drip coffee and a chai latte made with oat milk they had no soy. The drip coffee was almost completely tasteless; obviously it was made far too weak. I know it isn't the beans, because they use Drumroaster coffee which in my experience is always excellent if properly made. The chai latte had a nice spice mix, but absolutely no sweetener. I guess that's fine as an option, but normally chai is a sweet tea, and I wasn't alerted when I ordered that this wasn't the case. Now if everything had tasted great, I probably would have been OK with the expensive price tag, but it's harder to take when the drinks are weak and pretty much flavour free. I see there are a few other recent reviews that make similar complaints about price and quality, so really, they should think about taking a look at what they are serving. On the up side, they do sell Drumroaster coffee beans, so you can always take those home and make it properly yourself.
Nice ambiance and good coffee. If you are close to this place, stop there and try the muffins. They are delicious!
Lovely staff great bakery items nice atmosphere
As a steady customer Gonzales Coffee is a great place to go and the staff are super nice ! I would highly recommend, it was disappointing to see it closed for days because of a staff shortage again, however I understand because of hard times for smaller businesses.
