I have ordered my daughter birthday cakes this year and last. I’m a long ways from where she is going to University and I wanted her to feel special! These cupcakes delivered. The staff that answered the phone were a huge help in helping me pick out the perfect combination. My daughter shared the cupcakes and used them to get to meet people. She had a sweet treat and has made friends for life. I’d highly recommend Ooh la La Cupcakes for all your bakery needs!
I don't like store-bought cake that much typically, but the cake here is unbelievable. The Coconut Cloud cupcake is one of the best things I have ever eaten, PERIOD. Good vegan options, too. If you want some frankly incredible dessert, stop here.
Thank you so much for making my birthday cake. The ombre was nice. But I can't help but to think that there was not much effort put into the cake. It’s like a kid made it, and can’t believe I was charged $140 for it. It looks like $60 or even less. I think my friend can make 10 times better. Overall, I was disappointed and dissatisfied. Waste of money. I will never order from this place.
I ordered an assortment for my husband’s birthday as a surprise. We are new to Victoria, recently moved from Ontario, so I wasn’t sure where to buy a good cupcake. I took a chance based on the website and reviews and we were not disappointed! The cakes were so fresh and moist. They were so flavourful and the buttercream was silky smooth and not overly sweet. Absolute perfection. I’m a simple girl so the vanilla cupcake was my favourite, but every flavour was devoured with equal pleasure. We will definitely buy from this bakery again.
I have had and enjoyed many cupcakes over the years from Ooh La La Cupcakes, especially since they have vegan ones. So when I was trying to find someone to do a vegan wedding cake for our wedding, and after friends who had also used Ooh La La for their vegan wedding cake had raved about it, it was an easy choice to hire them for ours. I knew the cake would be vegan and delicious. But what I did not know at the time, was how amazing they would be to work with, and how absolutely PERFECT the cake would end up being! Sherryl was so great to work with through pandemic wedding planning and many emails. She was always so helpful in answering all my questions and ensuring that the cake would be everything we wanted. They even provided complimentary taste-tester cupcakes to help us decide which flavours we liked best! And on the day itself when I saw the cake in person, I was speechless at how BEAUTIFUL and absolutely perfect it was! It was exactly what I had envisioned: Simple, classic, and stunning!!! And DELICIOUS!!! We had more than enough cake for our guests and were even able to save the top tier for ourselves which is what we had wanted. I cannot say enough good things about Sherryl and Ooh La La Cupcakes! I 100% recommend them to everyone looking for a wedding cake/treats, or a cake/treats for any other occasion. I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future for all my vegan cake/cupcake needs. Thank you so much Sherryl! <3
Cupcakes are good, staff is often not very friendly. Just average, no warm welcome or anything special I would expect from a laid back cupcake shop. 4/5 for cupcakes, 2/5 for customer service. So a 3/5 :
Great customer service! My order came incorrect but the issue was resolved by Sherryl very promptly. It was much appreciated and will definitely recommend this place to others : very delicious cupcakes!!

Amazing design and taste! I sent Oh La La a picture from my child's birthday invite and asked them to recreate it - and they NAILED it. It was gorgeous and everyone said it was one of the best cakes they've tasted. The cupcakes were also a hit, including the vegan and gluten-free options. HIGHLY recommend.
I ordered a salted caramel cake and a mango coconut cake for two different occasions. Not only were the cakes visually beautiful but everyone who had a slice agreed that it was the best cake we had ever tasted. There were very moist and flavourful. This will definitely be my go to bakery for cakes from now on.
